We went around town once more, but nothing came up. What if he's out of town? Urgh! No! He can't be! But I promised myself that I would do anything to save him. "It's useless! He's gone!", says Jackilen. I got angry and yelled at her. "No Jackilen! It's not useless! Okay! We are going to find him!", I yelled as I sat back down on the dusty truck seat. We stopped, right next to an alley. I saw a guy leaning against the building wall with his hands in his pockets and one foot up on the wall. I stopped for a minute, I looked at him carefully. "Let's just go back!", said Kevin. "No, no no no no no! Hold on! Stop the truck!", I yelled. I got off and walked towards the man. Kevin peaked his head out from the window. "Kendra! Get your ass back in here!", he yelled. He kept yelling and scolding, but I kept fearlessly walking, without turning around. I stopped once I was about four meters away from him. I gulped boldly. "Do you know anything about a kidnapping around these areas...sir?", I asked him. He turned to look at me. He stood up right and stood on both two feet. He was wearing a tuxedo along with a sombrero on his head. "Yes, I do.", he says. "Do you know who is doing the kidnapping?", I asked again. He looks at me again, and was ready to respond. "Did they take your kid too?", he asked me.
I put my head down in depression. "They took my brother.", I said. "Look up!", he says. I look up at his face and he looks me in the eyes. "The only way you are going to get your ermano back, is if you go find him, and kill the kidnapper.", he tells me. I nodded, not sure of what I should do of that. "Sir, what does ermano mean?", I asked. He looks at me again. "It means brother.", he tells me. He must know how to speak Spanish. "That kidnapper who took your brother away, and my kid,I might know him. I knew a guy who I used to work with back in Mexico, in the fields. Back then,in Mexico, we didn't have all that money to feed our family, or even to dress our family! They payed us so little. So we moved to the USA to make some money in order to survive.", he says. I stayed quiet and listened.
"One day, he told me that kids can be used to make money faster. He kidnapped a kid of nine years old and forced her to work for him against her will, or else she would die. He eventually earned thousands of dollars, and killed the girl because there was no use in her anymore. I then called the police on him, and he got mad at me for doing that. After that, we never spoke to each other." I started to sob more because I couldn't believe that happened to him, and it was just sad to me. "But, I can help you little girl. I know this guys tricks. But you have to kill him in order to successfully retrieve your brother back." I nodded my head and turned around to walk back to the truck. I stopped for a second, and turned around again. "Thank you sir! Very much!", I yelled at him with a kindling feeling inside me. He grabbed the top of his hat and put the front side down. "De nada! Oh, and one more thing little girl. The first place I would check for your brother, is the Bangiler paper factory. The last time I heard of him, he was working there.", he tells me. I nod again. "Do you speak Spanish?", I asked him quickly. " I am Mexican señorita.", he says. "Gracias!", I told him. He smiled and I ran back to the truck. He turned his back towards us, and slowly walked his direction, and put his arm in the air to gesture a goodbye. Before he completely faided into the darkness, I stuck my head out of the truck window and asked him, "what's your name?". "Eduardo Perez!", he responds. After that, he completely faided into the dark alley, and we had to head over to the city of Bangiler.
