Chapter 7

My mom's already at work and its Friday. I didn't bother to go to school.

I would be late anyways cuz its 8:30am.

(Knock knock)

Who's at the door?

I opened the door to see Rudy?

"Why aren't you in school"?

He came in without an invite and said he skipped with me. Why would he do that? For me?

So babe what we doing today?

I guessed that answered my question.

"Nothing, absolutely nothing" , I said with an uterling and strange feeling.

'So um, they're still trying to find Kiara'...

I had no interest in talking about her, plus it was very awkward.

"Let's not talk about that right now", I said looking stressed.

"So are we a thing now?", I asked.

"We're not a thing, yes, we are a couple."

I hid a smile as I went in the kitchen to cook something to eat.

Rudy followed me. He wrapped his arms around my waist from behind. I was chopping pepper while I was turned on. He slowly kissed my neck and I closed my eyes.

Softly I said, I have to cook dinner.

"Let me help", he said in my ear.

I dropped the knife on the counter and he picked me up. As we made out the phone rang.

We stopped and I answered it.

We had sat at the table with a strawberry scented candle lit in the middle. After lunch we went to the mall. Then to the park.

It was close to midnight so we decided to head home.

"I'm not coming over tonight so don't even think about it", I said.

He smirked shook his head and escourted me out the car.

"As I told you this morning, I'm seeing you tonight".

Rudy took me over his shoulders and carried me to his front door. I screamed and kicked.

"Put me down!"

As he reached for his keys...

"Oops almost forgot, goodnight Ms. Newell, Dianna will be sleeping over tonight", he shouted.

My mom yelled back, "goodnight Rudy."

"I can't believe this, this is called kidnapping you know", I screamed.

Rudy laughed and brought me inside.

*Next day*

In school there was pure drama. Kiara returned from no where. She just showed up to school with scratches and blood all over her face.

What happened?
How is she still alive?
Where did she go?
Is she okay?
When did she appear?
Why is she not going to the police?

Questions but no answers.

"Hey babe!", Rudy yelled.

Come here.

Rudy grabbed me in the hallway, brought me to a corner and he started kissing my neck then grabbed my butt.

"Yo stop", I said while giggling.

I removed his hand and his hands displacement when to my waist. I gave him a kiss and carried him in the hallway holding his hands.

"How did kiara just show up out of nowhere?", I asked Rudy.

"I don't know", he replyed.

We both stood together in the hallway holding hands as we watched everyone gossiping.

*My House*

I invited Rudy over because my mom was cooking dinner. I see my mom once in awhile because she works evening and night. My mom's really smart and funny but we haven't been able to talk much. She gets updated on few things like Rudy but me going to college, and all, its been rough trying to decide.

At dinner, my mom and Rudy chilled and they got along well. I wasn't surprised because she loved Rudy. I sat in the kitchen watching them. I imagined if me and Rudy would last.
What would our future be like?

"Honey, come here", my mom smiled. "The movie is starting".

I ran, sitting on the couch between them. Rudy tickled me and I giggled and laughed. Then, I tickled my mom and we continued going back and forth.

"Its starting its starting, stop", I said.

We all turned to the flat screen. We were watching "50 Shades of Grey".

As the movie started we heard a knock at the door.

Who would me at my door knocking at this hour?

I opened the door.........I stood still not knowing how to react, a million and one emotions showered my skin. How could this person, a ghost, show up like this without warning us. For 14 years, they've never been in my life. Why decide to show up now?
