"SCP 2579. Get up."

The girl on the bed growled and didn't move.

"2597! Wake up!"

The SCP curled up deeper under the cover she had been given, hearing an odd looping shriek in the background. She tried to ignore it.

"2597! Get up, this is important!"

"My name is Mangaminx. Minx, if you'd like."

"Minx, then. Get up."

That made her sit up; her salt-and-pepper wings perked up in curiosity. She was never called by anything but her SCP designation. There was a scientist standing at the door of her cell. The door was open. Minx eyed the door, then looked to her visitor. He was a regular for her, but looked, at the moment, like something had scared him half-to-death then tried to finish the job.

"Minx. I can free you. I know you aren't evil, and I can't stomach the thought of you being trapped with the things that just broke out. I never saw you, you never saw me, and be careful."

Minx stared at him in confusion. The scientist waved at the open door desperately.

"GO!!!!"

Minx took off, moving fast enough for her image to be a blur to the human eye, before she skidded to a stop. She wasn't sure why she had been released before she realized the looping shriek was a siren. There was a breakout in progress.

"#Attention all SCP personnel! Containment breach in progress! Multiple Keter and Euclid level SCPs have breached containment! All personnel are advised to head for evacuation centers until the escaped SCPs have been recontained.#"

Minx shuddered at the intercom announcement. Not that she couldn't hold her own in a fight, but there were things in the facility that could kill her before she even realized she was in danger. Some were especially manipulative, so she shouldn't trust anyone or anything she met on her way out. She didn't know the way out. To make things worse, all the hallways looked the same, and she now had no clue where she was.

"Great. Brilliant, Minx! Now you're lost in a facility where everything is going to try and kill you."

The girl groaned, leaning against a dark wall hopelessly. She could try running around the entire facility, but that would waste energy and introduce her to people and things she really didn't want to meet.

Of course, waiting around would only get her recaptured or shot by the military force no doubt on its way. Minx sighed, picking a random hallway. The lights were working, mostly, but that didn't mean anything other than nothing had bothered to mess with the power.

The clunking of boots on metal caused Minx to flit to an adjoining hall, listening as the soldiers walked by. The breath in her lungs only compressed as she heard the soldiers start screaming and firing at something. The something either didn't care or really cared, because the next sound was ripping flesh. The screams and gunfire ceased.

Minx didn't wait around to see what they had found. She took off, orange jumpsuit streaking as her power shot her forward at superhuman speed. When she felt she had put significant distance between her and whatever that other thing was, she stopped. Her shoes were hot and sticky, not built for her speed.

With a huff, she pulled them off. She could run without them in the facility at least. Tying their laces together, she hung the dark shoes around her neck and started walking. Hopefully she would still have them when she found the exit; bare ground was far from forgiving on her feet.

Hopefully she would find the exit.
