The two walked for a while in silence, trying to scout out the facility. One of the halls Minx had bypassed because the door was locked was opened thanks to Ken, though neither SCP wanted to go down it.

It was covered in blood and bodies.

The bodies themselves looked as though someone had placed a bomb in them, splattering gore everywhere. Minx shuddered. Ken started forward, only to stop as Minx bent over to put her shoes back on. She was not walking through there barefoot.

"What the hell do you think did this?" Ken asked, swerving back and forth to avoid the deeper puddles of human remains. Minx leaned down hesitantly, eyeing the splatter pattern.

"I don't wanna know. They look like they were blown up from the inside."

She shook her head and followed Ken, glancing behind them periodically. Whatever had done the damage appeared to have left.

A soft popping noise preceded a blinding light. Ken yelled and fell back, arms over his eyes. Minx mimicked him, noticing a faint human outline in the light charging them. She swung, and felt her fist connect with human flesh. The light died as a tawny-haired man collapsed backward, reeling from Minx's right hook.

Minx was instantly pinning him to the floor, ready to start hitting him with supersonic punches, when he cried, "Wait!"

Minx hesitated. He was staring at her wings.

"You're an SCP, right? Like me?"

Ken responded from somewhere next to Minx, "No, she's an intern."

The guy rolled his eyes, before introducing himself.

"I'm SCP 2219. Yamimash."

Minx didn't let him up.

"Why did you attack us?"

Yami's eyes flashed, taking on a distinct glow.

"There is something really dangerous running around. I didn't see what it was, I think it was a shadow-creature or something, but it tore through three troops of soldiers like they were tissue paper. I didn't know who or what you were, I was trying to protect myself!"

Minx glanced at Ken before letting the British man up. He flashed brilliantly for a second, before his light died down. The blood that had been smeared on his clothes was now dry.

"What can you do?" Ken asked, blinking like he was trying to clear his vision.

Yami bowed theatrically.

"I am a light-controlling teleporter! I killed these soldiers by kinda...teleporting into them."

Minx shivered. Ken, on the other hand, nodded.

"I'm Ken, super-strong and invulnerable. This is Minx, super-fast with wings."

Yami smiled at them.

"You guys mind sharing your escape route? I'd like to get out in one piece and soon."

Minx shook her head, frowning.

"We're lost too."

Yami looked saddened.

"I should tell you, then, that there is no way out through here. I checked. Just my cell and a couple others that are empty."

Ken sighed and turned around, walking back the way they came. Minx started to follow him, then asked, quite hurriedly, "Would you like to come with us?"

Both Ken and Yami stared at her. Minx almost blushed and added, "Safety in numbers, right?"

Yamimash grinned, then looked to Ken, who huffed and jerked his head down the hall. They all started walking, footsteps echoing faintly on the metal floor.
