I was immediately surrounded by people; I've always hated crowds because I find them very claustrophobic. Give me a wide, open space any day. I finally made it to the front desk and reluctantly removed my headphones.

"Can I please have my time table?" I asked the lady politely; she was probably in her mid-forty's. She had gorgeous green eyes and light brown hair that was held up by a clip

"Name?" She asked whilst typing away on her computer.

"Quinn Braveheart"

"Oh yes! Here you are my lovely" she said whilst handing me a little piece of paper with my time table on it.

"thank you" I smiled at the receptionist and she smiled back, I guess this helped a little with how I felt about having to settle into somewhere new.

My first class was history in room 45, I walked around aimlessly before coming to the conclusion I was well and truly lost. Somehow, I found myself at the Cafeteria, it was practically empty apart from a small group of girls sitting at a round tables in the corner of the room. They were all involved in their own little conversations and to be honest didn't look entirely approachable but at this point I really had no choice. Thankfully I am confident so I walked up to them with my time table in hand and said;

"Excuse me, could any of you point me in the direction of room 45?"

One of the girls stood up and pushed her chair behind her with the back of her knees.

"Who are you?" she then said in a childish tone, giving her friends side glances, as if asking them to will her on to be as unhelpful as she possibly could be.

"I'm Quinn, I'm new here I'm just trying to find room 45."

"Well you better go find it then." she shooed me away with the back of her hand as the rest of the other girls sniggered to themselves.

"B!tch" I whispered under my breath and I turned to walk out of the room.

"what did you say!?"

"nothing!" I said as I looked back over my shoulder as a smirk appeared on my face, I saluted as a giggle escaped my smiling lips as I walked out the door. Well, good start I thought to myself, I am not going to be pushed around by anyone.
