Past

Robert had surprised Elle for the second time in this week by showing up in her office with a package.

'Miss Hernandez, there's a guy looking for you. Should I sent him in?'

While Elle, she just had the most hectic morning ever. Her hair bun had loosen down to the nape of her neck after 3 hours meeting. Her coat and her handbag (not that it matters both of them H&M; she had been using it for almost a year. They were worn out already) were scattered on the coffee table. Her left heel was by the coffee table while another was by the door.

She was running in the office back and forth from the cork board to table to the piece of board trying to finish the paper work she'd promised Mr. Lance.

'Miss Hernandez,' The telephone rang again. She jabbed the button and hissed, 'Sarah, what? I'm a bit busy.'

'He said this is urgent. He-Hey hey you can't barged in without permission.'

Elle slammed the scissor and paper down and headed to the door. Who the fuck does he think he is barging in the firm asking for her? Don't this person know she's busy? Before she could twist the doorknob, the door swung opened from the outside and hit her right in the forehead.

'Oucch!' She yelled and backed up, 'What the fuck?'

She pressed her palm on the source of pain and looked up. 'Lewy?' She groaned and excused her assistant and let him in. 'Are you okay?' He asked as soon as the door closed.

She watched as he dropped something like a box on the sofa and rushed to him. 'My head hurts, thanks you ass.' She chuckled a little and he smiled. He peeled her hand off slowly.

'Ahh, it has started to bruise.'

She frowned, 'What? Really?'

'Well, its a little spot.' He cupped her cheeks and slowly planted a kiss on the bruise area. 'Better?' He asked and she rolled her eyes. 'I'll tell your assistant to get some ice for you.'

'You better apologize at her for causing her trouble.'

He walked to her chair and paged in for Sarah the assistant as she headed back to her work, 'Miss Hernandez?' The assistant's head peeked in and he called her in. 'Hi, I know we started on the wrong foot. I'm sorry.' He explained, 'Anyway, I've somehow hurt your boss and do you mind fetching her some ice?'

The young girl frowned and glanced at her boss who had her back facing the girl, 'Miss Hernandez, are you alright?'

'Yes, yes, now I would really appreciate that ice.'

'Can I ask for something to drink?' Robert asked and the girl irritatedly muttered a yes. 'Just mineral water. Dankeschön.'

'You annoyed her alright.' She laughed and started pasting the key infos on the board, 'What are you doing here? You supposed to be at the stadium, practicing. How do you know where I work anyway?' She handed him the glue and he helped her.

'I had Liesel finding where you work. I thought I come and check you out. Maybe we can get some lunch together.' She looked up and smiled, 'Aren't you the sweetest--wait who's Liesel?' Her smile died but his grew.

'Are you jealous?'

'I was just asking.' She muttered flatly and he grinned. 'Aren't you the sweetest?' He reached over and pinched her cheek. 'Liesel is my agent.'

Their affection died as the door opened and Sarah walked in with a tray. 'Mr Lance called and he asked is the proposal is ready. What should I text him back?'
