"Different.. like.. me?"

This was all on Vladimir's mind in the last days. He was walking in a forest, thinking and thinking. How could he find someone 'different and like him'? And what did Vlad even mean by that?
Everything was confusing the blonde.

He kept on walking, and without realizing almost all the day passed. It was nearly sunset when Vladimir finally snaped out of it and realized...
He had no idea where he was!

He was so lost in his thoughts that he forgot about everything.
Right then he realized even how hungry and thirsty he was.

The young teen looked around: snow and trees.
He keept looking around: snow and trees. There was no hope, he certainely got lost. He decided that if what, he could have kept walking 'til he would find someone to help him

Then a noise made Vladimir jump in fear. There was no one near him, not human nor animal. That noise again has been heard.

From a small amount of snow a head popped up. It was a child, he had black raven hair and a pair of big esmerald green eyes that were looking straight into Vladimir's red ones.

The romanian was so shocked he couldn't help but open his mouth in surprise, showing off his strangely grown canins. The other kid then got scared and tried to break free from under the snow and run away, but while doing that he fell down.

"Oh! Are you alright?" Vladimir asked worried and making a step forward, but that only made the other kid freak out even more.

He wouldn't know how to explain it but.. Vladimir felt something weird about this kid, there was a weird tension that he used to feel when he was around his brothers and Moldova.

"Don't be scared. I'm no strigoi (undead creature from romanian folklore)." Vladimir tried to calm down the brunette and gave a reasuring smile, not aknolodging the fact that the boy may not speak his language.

"Who are you?" The child asked, surprisingly for Vladimir's understanding. Quite rude, Vladimir thought. You can't just ask a person who they are like that, it was and still is very impolite.

"I'm..Vladimir. May I ask who are you?" He replied and held out his hand to help up the other.

The kid accepted the offer and got up with the help of the blonde. "My name is Aleksander."

"Very nice to meet you, Aleksander." Now that he was up, Vladimir could notice how the brunette was just as tall as him.

"A pleasure to meet you as well, Vladimir." Aleksander said with now a blank stare that kinda made Vladimir feel awkward.

"So- What were you doing in those woods alone?" Vladimir said in a jokingly tone, trying to break the ice.

"I could ask you the same." Aleksander gave a slight smirk.

"Well- You're not wrong. Haha! I.. got lost in my thoughts and ended up here. I.. actually don't know where exactly am I."

"Oh, you're at the edge of Wallachia. Few steps in here and you're in the Ottoman Empire." Aleksander replied calmly

What?! At the edge of Wallachia? Right next to the Ottoman Empire?! Just how much did he walk?
It was already night outside and it started snowing, the two boys walked together and kept talking..

"So you are Wallachia?!" Aleksander asked surpised.

"Yes, I am! I became Wallachia decates ago."

"And you like.. don't age, right?"

"Right.?" Vladimir felt there was something off at this question. "Why do you ask?"

"Oh– Just the idea that you were alive decates ago yet you look 14." Aleksander tried to play it cool, but Vladimir was better than that, he knew there WAS something off.

"Yes.. Is there something wrong?"

"Huh? Why do you ask? Of course not."

"Just a feeling.." Vladimir looked away thinking, and what his ruler told him came back to his mind.

Could he be..? One of his future neighbours? Hah! Of course he couldn't. He can't be a kingdom, state or country, now can he? Vladimir shaked the thought off and kept walking.

After a while they found themselves on a street. A street that Vladimir knew. He could get home now!
The blonde turned the his new friend and gave a happy smile.

"I know this street, I know how to get home now."

"That is wonderful! Then.. it's time we say goodbye?" Aleksander asked quite sadly.

Vladimir grabbed his hand. "Why don't you come with me? You seem like a wonderful friend!"

"I-.. Can't. I'm sorry." The brunet slipped his hand from Vladimir's hold.

"Why not?"

"I need to be somewhere else." After saying that Aleksander turned to face the forest they had walked in for what seemed like hours spent in one second.

"Oh.. I understand. Then.. shall we see eachother next time?" Vladimir asked smiling sadly.

"Yes. We shall see eachother again." Aleksander then started walking back in the forest.

"Wait a minute! Are you by.. any chance.. different? Like me?" Vladimir asked a bit despiretly.

The brunet took a moment to reply after stopping. "..... Perhaps I am."
And with that said he kept walking.

And so Vladimir was left alone on that street with the stressing thought of if he just met his future neighbour.
