I pulled myself to my feet; I was surrounded by concerned faces.
"Are you okay Miki?" Jay asked, I nodded and pressed my hand to my forehead. "Yeah just fine. . . I best be going..." I said walking over to my bag and running out the door.
I ran into the change rooms. Tears spilling out my eyes, I messed up.
I looked down at my bag, I sighed and pulled out the pills, I threw two of them in my mouth. I slid my clothes over my dancing clothes. I pushed the door open and started walking home.
I ran up the stairs and threw my bag on my bed and slammed my door shut.
"Why can't I get it?!" I cried to myself. I buried my head in my hands as I sobbed silently in my room.
I bit down on my lip, my head looking over my room; I stood up and stalked over to my window.
I looked out at the skate park that was just down the street. I threw off my clothes and slid on a pair of dark wash skinny jeans and a T-shirt that read just like you.
I threw on my black tattered vans and grabbed my skate board before going down to the skate park.
"Hey Hannah!" I called walking over to her.
"Hey... practice is over?" Hannah asked after turning around.
"Yeah... I didn't exactly get the best" I said rubbing the back of my neck "If that makes sense?" I asked confused of what I had said.
"No, not really..." Hannah replied.
"Oh... well, I fucked up and... I'd rather not talk about it..." I stuttered before walking towards one of the ramps.
I sighed and started skating down the deep slope, I aired and did a 360.
Perfect landing, I skated to the other end and stopped.
How is it I can always get tricks on my skateboard and always fall face first when I'm doing Ballet? I asked myself. I shrugged away the thought. I started skating down the ramps again.
"Oi Miki!" I mentally groaned and turned around on my bored. "What do you want Tyson?" I asked the stuck up 'bad boy'
"What are you doing here?" he asked, the colour-less gum affecting his speech as it ran around his mouth. "I always come here..." I said he scoffed. "You're never here anymore, so why the sudden change?" he asked cocking up an eyebrow.
"Because I felt like it, you don't own the skate park." I said before skating back over the ramp. "I'll make a bet with ya" he said walking closer towards me, I raised an eyebrow.
"And what would that be?" I asked crossing my arms, a smirk tugged at Tyson's lips. "If you can skate down the stairs railing, then I will lay off you, but if you can't, then you can't show your face here again." He said, knowing Tyson there would have to be a catch.
"You have to do it as well, and if you don't make it you can't come back either." I said he nodded agreeing. I held my hand out for him to shake, he shook. He pulled me closer so his mouth was next to my ear. "Be ready, Tuesday at four, at the alleyway stairs." I froze, the alleyway stairs were steep, that being an understatement, nobody has ever tried, and it's too much of a risk.
"Or are you too scared?" Tyson asked followed by a husky chuckle. "I'm not, but are you? I'll see you there Tyson." I said turning around and skating back down the ramp.
Let's give them a show. I thought to myself before doing an Ariel. Tyson scoffed and rode down doing a fakie.
"Wow... How long did it take you to perfect that? Maybe next time you can try and do a kick-turn" I said sarcastically before waving goodbye to Hannah and skating back home.
