Dean

By Friday, Dean was beyond the meaning of stressed, conflicted with his feelings for Cas and worrying for Sammy's well-being and hiding his wings. Of course, Sammy was getting better. He had begun eating again and slept for a bit throughout the day, so he was at least a tiny bit happy that he was improving. Of course, he'd much prefer if Sam was one hundred percent okay--but he knew that right now, it was impossible to expect Sam to heal like that.

"So, Sam just killed him?" Cas asked casually during lunch time at school, his eyes glued to his food. Dean inhaled sharply internally. When Castiel worded it like that, it seemed like Sam just casually murdered his best friend slash crush.

"Yeah...It's just that--before Sam killed him--he told him he loved him and I...I made him kill him-" Dean said awkwardly, suddenly losing his appetite and pushing his lunch tray away from him. Cas looked over at Dean, frowning.

"I'm sorry, Dean. I did not mean to upset you," Castiel said before lightly placing a hand over Dean's, "you didn't make Sam do anything, Dean." Dean's wings quivering brought him back to his senses; looking at Castiel, he felt himself melt into happiness. The oceanic eyes brought ease onto Dean easily, Cas's eyes just seemed to have that affect on Dean.

"If you two are done eye fucking, I'd like to eat my meal in peace," an annoyed British voice said, making Dean blush and look away from Castiel, who still had one hand over Dean's. Balthazar rolled his eyes before turning back to Samandriel and speaking in a different language. Dean furrowed his eyebrows in confusion; he didn't know Balthazar and Samandriel could speak in different tongues.

As if he read his mind, Castiel turned his attention to Dean again,"They're speaking Enochian. It is the language that angels would often use in Heaven."

"Do all angels know it?" Dean asked. He sure didn't know that language.

"Only angels that are Heaven natives know it," Castiel shrugged before bursting out laughing and joining Balthazar's and Samandriel's conversation, in which they all turned red with laughter. Dean's heart and wings fluttered slightly hearing Castiel's laughter.

"What's so funny?" Dean asked, suddenly self-conscious to the fact he was the only one that didn't understand a word they were saying.

"Balthazar said a funny thing-" Castiel said through giggles, "he said that Raphael, one of my brothers, breeds with the mouth of a goat." Dean squinted his eyes at Castiel. It wasn't that funny, so why was he laughing so hard?

Cas cleared his throat, catching the lack of Dean's laughter, "It's funnier in Enochian." Dean smiled as Castiel's face darkened into a red color while Balthazar and Samandriel continued to talking in the language.

"So where is your brother-Raphael?" Dean asks, his back against the Impala. Cas shifts his weight from leg to leg, obviously uncomfortable.

"Raphael just recently moved out. We were pretty close once. After Gabriel, Gadreel, Lucifer, Eve and my father left, he just lost it. He left last week and my other brothers, Uriel and Zachariah, left with him, too. They were the more serious part of the family; the ones that changed the most after my father left," Castiel frowned, looking down at his feet. Dean felt horrible for putting Cas in this mood. Dean fought the urge to embrace Castiel, knowing his wings would get out of control if he tried to, so he simply put a hand on his shoulder. Cas's wings flared out dramatically at Dean's touch, making both of them blush.

Dean suddenly gained a pang of courage at the thought of Cas reacting like that to Dean's touch. Dean wondered how Cas might react if he touched Castiel's-stop it, Dean. He's your friend. But he was so attractive--he at least owed to himself to find out if Castiel felt the same.
