A smile can hide almost any pain - it can trick anyone into thinking that you're okay when you're not. Ember knew that more than anyone else, she had mastered the smile and wave - the look of happiness. The look of happiness could easily be faked, some went even as far to perfect it - Ember being one of those people.

The short brunette sat slumped in her vanity chair, her ocean eyes, which were red and puffy stared at her tiresome expression. During these two restless nights, the eye bags under her eyes became more prominent, and her face became pale.

She could hear the bickering and arguing coming from her siblings, and a soft smile twisted onto her face as she settled her brush down. Her siblings were finally home, even if it was because of their father's death, they were here and Ember couldn't be happier about their arrival.

When she was ready, she went to the living room, her smile dropping instantly. There were her siblings, not talking to one another - acting as if they were strangers. She raised her brow to Allison, who was drinking whiskey from the glass.

"Don't you think, it's a little too early to be drinking." She joked as she looked between Allison, then Klaus who happened to be behind the bar making himself a drink.

All five siblings turned towards the doorway of the living room. Small smiles crossed their faces as they looked at the brunette. Since the last time they saw her, she had fully grown into a beautiful young lady.

"Em." Vanya was the first to speak as she stood up from her place on the couch, opposite Luther and engulfing the girl into a hug. Ember returned the hug, a smile tugging on her lips. The two hadn't seen each other for about two weeks considering each was busy on their end.

They pulled away from the hug. "How are you?" Vanya asked, keeping the brunette at arm's lengths.

Ember slightly shrugged. "I've been better." She softly spoke.
