I recall the day when we were at the beach. Wearing our favorite white Oxford button-down shirt and Bermuda shorts. Heading our way to the waters. Taking the hands of each other and kissing under the sunset like we are the only human in this world. The day you cover my waist with your comforting arms while I prepare our food. The day you hugged me while I'm lonesome. And you carry me in our garden and kiss while our dog Sumo plays around us, you said: I love you more than what I have. Miss your touch, your hot palms, your lips when we kiss, and your aromatic scent. Admire those things, those things absurd to forget.

I shut my eyes as a flashback started at my home, three years earlier, eating dinner with my parents. We talk about things that happen in our day. Being open-minded and laughing that strengthens our bond. Even though James is not my actual dad but, he took care of me when I was little like I'm his actual son. He is not my biological father, but the connection is stronger. My mom, Anna, always cook the best food! I can't even live without it. She's the kindest, loving mother I had. When I need a shoulder to sob on, she's there. I become independent and I left them since I work at a coffee shop and the salary was right. I didn't mean to leave them; I want to take the challenge that this world could offer.

It was just the past. I'm ready to take the present and see what will happen. A new beginning.

I woke up while the sun smooches my face. It feels pleasant every time I wake, touch the rugs with my foot, but I get back to sleep. My alarm rings. I rise before my alarm dings, and I am sensitive to sunlight. Disturbing when I had a wondrous dream with my celebrity crush like Zachary Levi. My favorite actor that portrays a fantastic role in SHAZAM! And Office Uprising. I tap my clock, stretch, and yawns. I see the time and screw me, I'm late!!!

Monday is the worst, it always gets me sluggish going to work, though not a reason to be late. I grab my towel hanging on my cabinet door and go to the bathroom quickly. Since our manager is rather peevish when we act slowly, that is why we need to move fast. I hastily shower and brush my teeth. No time for a scrub. Heard my phone ringing outside and forget to bring it with me. Possibly it's Ms. Zion. She repeatedly contacts her employees when they're delayed. I cover my waist with a towel while my hair drops water on my face, crawling down my cheeks. Slips easily because of hurrying, my phone stops ringing and two minutes later, it rings again; it was Ms. Zion. I put on my underwear first and answers the call.

"Good Morning Ms."

"Don't you dare call my day good? It's almost 8 and you haven't been here yet! Our schedule is 7:30 AM,"

That's what I'm talking about, she's annoyed again.

"Don't worry Ms. I'll be there,"

"Argh!!!"

Why the heck did you shout? I know It's my fault not to wake up early.

"I'll be—"

She ended it. That's offensive. Maybe when I arrive there, her head will cool down.

I wear my typical pale long-sleeve shirt and black jean pants together with my dockside. It looks like I'm going to a social party, but not. Saw Mr. Fluff on the sofa laying down. He doesn't care whether I go out or arrive, the important thing for him is that he eats his favorite dog food. Nothing more, nothing less. But sometimes he wants to play, but I'm the one who's too lazy.

Locker key, apartment key, wallet, handkerchief, and my bag. Check! I'm leaving my lovely apartment.

"See you later, Mr. Fluff!"

Waited for the bus outside and it was a lovely day for perceiving people. Running, walking with their dogs, and kids going to school with their parents. Miss the time when my mother is the one who always leads me to go to school.
