"Why not just smoke?" He said pushing a cigarette close to me. I pushed his arm away and shook my head.

"Well, why not?"

"Because I said no."

"C'mon. There's gotta be a deeper reason why," he persisted.

"I don't need anymore smoke in my life. My mind is already clouded from my burning love for your piece of shit brother." And with that, he let it be. We sat in a comfortable silence in the top of the tree. In that moment he could finally understand my love for his brother.
