The next morning Maggie woke from a wonderful dream, where she and Richard were married with three kids two dogs and living in rural Norfolk, to see a message from her friend Janet:

Maggie stormed across the shop to where Richard was sitting and threw her cell across the desk to him.

"Can you believe this shit!"

He looked up from his computer bemused at her outburst. Picking up her cell, he read the email in silence. Then without saying a word Richard reached for his phone and made a call.

Maggie was fuming and calling her landlord all the names under the sun, when Richard caught her attention and told her to be quiet. He waited for the person at the other end of his cell to answer their phone.

“Oh! Hi,” said Richard, “is Nick Skerrett there please? Maple Richard Maple. Thanks.”

Holding the phone away from his mouth, he instructed Maggie to calm down and take a seat. Still swearing she did as Richard requested.
