After our...quite awkward shower, I didn't want to see my mother first thing. I was actually scared of what her reaction might be, she already had enough moments with her vampire side. I took a small deep breath as I tried to remain calm. I was close to breaking down. I never felt this nervous about telling my mother that I was turned into a vampire by Vanessa, my one and only. "What's wrong, my little flower?" my mate asked me, sitting down beside me on the bed.
I placed my head onto her shoulder, feeling a few tears starting to form in my eyes. "I am scared of what I will become and I am scared for my mother. You saw her freak out when she realised that she was a vampire. You saw her use a hypnotism spell on me to try and lure me in which worked and look where it got her." I explained to her, before feeling her snake her safe arms around me. "Look where it got me...I lost my self control over you." I whispered, my voice then beginning to crack with powerful emotions. Sad and scared.
"I told you, it's okay. You didn't hurt me, yes you were quite rough at the start but you caught me from hurting myself. Well, your vampire side did." she told me before I couldn't help myself but to just let it all out. I began crying into her shoulder, until the door began to creak open slowly which made me look at whoever was coming in. It was Natasha.
"Hey...I wanted to tell you that our mother wants to see you. But, I will tell her to leave it another time, seeing as you are..."
"Is she able to walk over here?" I asked my sister, who was clearly feeling for me as her eyes were sad. "Yes, I can." my mother spoke up, which made Natasha look up to see her. "Are you sure? You can always see her another time when she has calmed down." Vanessa asked her, keeping her arms wrapped around me. "Oh my strong baby..." my mother cooed at me before she gently moved Natasha out of the way.
I closed my eyes, not wanting my mother to see them. This was becoming too much for me...
"Shh, it's okay. I'm better now, you can open your lovely little eyes..." my mother continued to coo at me, as if I was a baby again. I felt my mate move her arms away as my mother began to cuddle me, wrapping her arms around me slowly and softly. "Vanessa..." I began to call my mate. Vanessa leaned in to press her lips against my cheek, giving it a small reassuring kiss. "She's here. Can you please open your eyes for me? I promise I won't say anything that will harm you even more." my mother asked me.
My eyes then fluttered open to meet with my mother's red eyes. "I am sorry if I failed you, mum..." I told her. My mother placed her thumb against the corner of my eye, wiping my tear away. "You never failed me, Addison. You fought and fought, until you couldn't fight anymore. I felt your struggles when I was in that awful little coma. You did so well and now here you are. A lovely young woman." she said before she kissed my forehead.
"I love you, mum." I told my mother. We then hugged each other until it was time for her to leave me and my mate in peace.
