Teru learned to move on after that incident, though he couldn't deny that it scarred his heart, it hurt him, it hurt him so much, be he knew better than to get his feelings in the way.

He swore to himself that he would never be as pathetic as he was before.

He was gonna act like nothing ever happened, thats what he keeps telling himself.

When Teru found out that Akane got tricked into being a school mystery, it felt like all the hope he had for them to mend their broken bond was gone, thrown out the window and run over a truck.

Yet the brunette's contract only lasted until he graduates, so basically he's still human, and an apartiton only for a period of time.

How it all happened let me elaborate.

Yes it's been a year, they've started talking to each other again, after all the times that passed, due to their student council duties, yet there was still some cold air between the two, an unseen scar in the untold past.

It was always the usual, until the time Akane came to the student council meeting room, looking rather tired and dismayed.

But Teru felt some unnatural energy radiating from the brunette.

After the student council meeting...

"Ok dismissed, I hope you all have a good rest" Teru said wrapping up the meeting.

"Not you Aoi stay back, I've got something to discuss with you" the blonde said in a deep chilly voice, his bangs making a shadow covering his eyes.

"Huh me pres?" The lavender haired girl asked, shivering.

"No, sorry for the mix up, I mean Aoi Akane" the president said, practically beaming, which made the other members of the student council calm down.

'I can't afford to look pathetic again, I've already promised myself', he thought, covering up his former actions by one of his blinding smiles.

Silence..., none of them talked, it felt so long after they had an actual conversation, after the whole incident at the rooftop.

Teru took a deep breath, he was gonna play it cool, like he always told himself.

"So Akane I'm gonna get straight to the point, there's some supernatural aura surrounding you, is there something you're not telling me?" Teru looked at Akane dead in the eye.

The brunette stiffend  "Ha ha, pres I didn't know you could make jokes like that" Akane said faking a laugh, though it was obvious he was lying.

Aoi Akane was good at many things but lying isn't one of them.

"I wish you didn't have to find out about it this way, but I'm an exorcist, exorcising supernaturals, and protecting humans is my sworn duty so you have to tell me, what's with this unnatural aura!" Teru said though being an exorcist sounds rather heroic and righteous, he wasn't too hyped about it, he was just telling what he was trained to say.

"Ughhhhh, unnatural aura, hahaha Teru you must've watched too many movies" Akane tried to shake it off with a laugh.

But Teru only gave him a look of disbelief.
