Moving from middleschool to highschool is like an achievement to me, I had dreamt of going to highschool and finally the day has come.
I did not sleep properly yesterday as I was very excited and dreaming about it whole night. This is very common, Beep beep beep beep, opened my eyes.
It was 6 in the morning I prayed to the God that the day should go good. My bag was packed and the outfit which I am going to wear today is decided, everything is perfect except for my bed.
Now I cleaned my bed, now everything is neat. I got ready and went downstairs then straight into kitchen.
"Good morning, Honey".
"Good morning, mom".
I hugged my mom and sat on my chair, waiting for my breakfast. At last my mom served the breakfast, I was stuffing my mouth with food.
"Slow down, Tess nobody is going to steal your food from your plate".
"I am starving mother" I replied, spilling some food out, from my mouth.
"How many times I have to say you, not to speak when your eating, where are your manners, now you are 13 when will you learn".
"Sorry mom I will behave".
"Good".
I looked at the third chair and saw my father turning the page in the newspaper.
I didn't believe my eyes.I rubbed my eyes and looked, there was nobody. My eyes are trying to fool me again. My mom hugged me from back.
"I miss him momma".
"I miss him too kiddo". My mom sat in her chair.
"Did you pack your bag Tessa??"
"Yeah mom got it all ready yesterday itself"
I completed my breakfast, quickly dressed up, picked up my bag, went downstairs and sat in my chair, listening to some music.
My mom touched my hand, lovingly and she kissed me on my cheek.
" It's 7:15, I better hurry ".I brought my bag and headed towards the shoe rack. My mom came from the kitchen, carrying my lunch bag and put side of my bag.
" Hey, where's your badge" mom asked.
" It's right over here in my pocket, you know I would never forget this thing".
My mom kissed me on my cheek.
" Bye Mom ".
" Bye honey, have a nice day".
