My Prisoner

Kida was pulled with the guards to a cell. She sighed, holding her head up high as she didn't care. Yes, she was never put in a prison, and yes she was never captured by the Fire Nation, but the memory of her father dying in front of her was fuel that burned away her fear and replaced it with rage. She was so angry at every Fire Nation civilian for allowing this to happen. Killing innocent people just because of their water bending ability. The girl was thrown into her cell, to stop her from hurting anymore of the guards.

She sighed, watching as the door closed and locked as she bit her lip, seeing nothing around her, only metal walls, a vent at the top of the cell and a lumpy mattress on the floor.

She slid down the wall, closing her eyes and relaxed, trying to get some rest, only for it to not work as the door opened and she saw Zuko.

She rolled her eyes, not looking at him. "You seem to be gifted with Archery. Killing two of my men, injuring five of them. A lot of skill for a Water Tribe peasant." He said lowly, the girl laughing.

"Yeah, and you seem to be gifted with stupidity. You let the Avatar escape in place of a 'Water Tribe peasant.'" She said, using his exact words and she kept her eyes on her shoes.

"Where is the Avatar heading? He must have told you something." He said and Kida thought for a moment.

"You know, he did mention that you can pull the stick that is so far up your ass out." She said, and Zuko growled.

"I will go back to your home and imprison your family if you don't tell me where he is?!" He yelled, slamming his fists on the bars while she finally gave him her eye contact.

"You do that. I don't have any family." She told him. "They're all dead because of your people." She told him, lying slightly as she glared at him. "Remember your raids on the Water Tribe? How your Navy would come by and kill or kidnap Water Benders?" She asked, seething at this point as she got up and got in his face.

"You can't do anything to me anyways, because you need me. I'm guessing you're going to use me as bait?" She asked, Zuko raising an eyebrow as she frowned.

"You will tell me where the Avatar is." He told her, and the girl laughed.

"How thick is your skull? I don't know where he is! We didn't really talk while we were kicking your ass an hour ago." She said, and Zuko screamed angrily, the girl blinking. "You people really do have anger issues, huh?" She teased.

He stomped off, leaving her to be alone as she rolled her eyes and sat back down in her cell. She looked up at the vent and frowned, looking at the moon. "Sokka, where are you?" She breathed out, closing her eyes.

Kida could feel the ship slow down and come to a stop. She looked up, seeing Zuko and Iroh get off the ship and she raised an eyebrow. She looked around, getting up and placing her hands on the bars as she glared at new soldiers who were coming her way.

"And who the fuck are you?" She asked.

"Uncle, I want the repairs made as quickly as possible. I don't want to stay too long and risk losing his trail and allowing the girl to escape." Prince Zuko said to his Uncle.
