Souls Matter

Hi, welcome back to my wlog!

Mark 8:37 "Is anything worth more than your soul?"

In the very beginning, God provided for us.

Genesis 1, He created first all that we need before He created us. Then, He rested.

In the very beginning, God created us in His image.

Genesis 1:26 "Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.' 27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."

God favored us over all His creations. We are highly favored!

In the very beginning, God-breathed us into life.

Genesis 2:7 "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

And our souls have a life as God.

In the very beginning, God gave our souls freedom.

Philemon 1:14 "But I did not want to do anything without your consent, so that your goodness will not be out of compulsion, but by your own free will."

The freedom to follow Him- what we ought to be doing in the very beginning, which sin had denied us.

In the very beginning, God loves us.

He showed us His love through it all. He loves us, beyond countless reasons why not to.

John 8:34 "Jesus replied, 'Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.'"

Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners," giving us true freedom- so we'd be free from sin's slavery, "Christ died for us."

In God's sight, we have a great value, He traded His life on Earth to give us eternal life.

In His eyes... you, soul, matter.
