Ann's POV
I can't get over the whole 'holding-hands' thing. His hand feels so warm and soft, I could hold his hand forever!
"Ann! Let's go! Hurry up, we're gonna miss the boys game!" Jenny shouted, dragging me in the hallway with excitement; excited to see his boyfriend, Liam, play again. Those two are the cutest couple, they fight but they never dared to leave each others' side until they solve their problem. I wish someday William and I would be like that. But it seems that he'll never make a move to ask me to be his girlfriend...
"Okay! Just don't drag me too much! What's so special about the boys in the field anyway?" I said to Jenny but she just kept on treating me like a rag doll. Suddenly her phone rang. And I knew who it was.
"Hey Ann, I gotta pick it up, it's Liam."
I was right; it was him.
She let go of my arm and answer the phone. After a few minutes, she turned to me and grabbed my arm. She is really way too much excited.
"Liam says that the game starts in a few minutes. So come on girl. Let's go get crazy in the bleachers!" She raises both of her arms like she's dancing.
So we arrived at the field, it was empty. The girls left me here at the bleachers. Then suddenly, Will comes out of the field with a megaphone and he was wearing the team uniform.
"Annabel Bailey! I guess I win again, huh? You didn't find out what's the big secret! I have so many things to say but let's get straight to the point!" He shouts and his team enters the field wearing their uniform.
"This is for you! You know that I really love you! So I'm taking this chance to say to you..." he joins his team and starts forming those letters that say 'BE-MY-GIRL-?' It was the best thing that could ever happen to me! I don't know what to say.
"So... What do you think Ann?.... Would you say yes or no?" he says as he tries to catch his breath.
I run all the way down to the field and hug him as he spun me around.
"I'd take that as a yes!" He took both my hands and said;
"You won't regret it! I swear, I'll be gentle, I won't break you." And kissed each finger on my hand.
I'm seriously speechless. No words to say.
We went to the beach after the whole thing happened. I really can't believe it! William is my boyfriend now, it's like the craziest thing that ever happened to me.
I can still remember when we were kids, like in grade one or two. He said to me that he likes me and that one day I'll be his wife. Cute isn't it?
So here we are on the beach, we're just walking while holding hands. It's like 4:30 p.m. We're like kids on the beach, we made some sand castles but it turned out to be a big pile of sand instead of a castle; we splashed water on each other 'til we're all wet. I have nothing to change my clothes but my shorts, good thing Will always carries an extra shirt; it was a white shirt with a little pocket on the side, it's a bit bigger than me.
When he saw me with his shirt on, he just smiled and held my hands; he said "You look better with my favorite shirt... Do you want to watch the sunset?"
"I look better? Will, I'm totally rockin' this shirt! Sure, I would love to watch the sunset." He laid his towel out on the sand and sat on it. He wrapped his arms around me along with his jacket because it's a bit windy.
I took a stick and started to write something. "Will heart Ann?" he whispered on my ear. I looked at him, I noticed his aqua-hazel eyes, it's really beautiful, up close. "Yeah. Why? What would you like me to write?"
He took the stick away from my hands and start writing. I sneak behind his back and look "Annabel... Bailey... Hamilton... Really?"
He smiled at me. "Do you still remember my promise to you, when we were kids?" he said as he fixed his hair. That dirty blonde hair, I really want to run my fingers through it.
"Ohh, you still want to live up to that promise? I thought you were joking because we were still kids at that time." he took my hands and stood up, and helped me up.
"Yeah. Why, you don't want to?" he folded the towel and put it in his sports bag.
"Actually it's really sweet and cute... Where are we going anyway?"
"We're just going to walk around. Come on." he takes my hand and we started walking.
It's like five o'clock, we're near the water. I really dared myself, I reached out and tried to mess up his hair but he got my hands, he just wrapped my arms over his neck then put his arms around my waist. "I'm really happy that you're mine now." he takes his hands and touches my face.
"I'm really happy too..." I look into his eyes. His beautiful eyes. Then, my lips met his. My first kiss.
