Daycare 2

Day 6: Obsessive?

“Welcoooooome to a new daaaay aaaaaat daycaaaaaare!” Liam cheered, walking to the stairs, only to be blocked by a large stone wall.

“Wha-?”

“--What’s the password?!”

Liam looked up to the top of the wall. Taffy and Gold were poking their heads out with medieval-like helmets on.

“--wait, no, Sir Taffy, you’re supposed to ask what his business is.” Gold-Mann quietly corrected.

“Oh, okay. Lemme start over.” Taffy nodded, both of them shrinking back behind the wall.

Taffy popped back up again, this time holding a slingshot. “What’s your business here, civilian?!”

“I wanna give Lily her phone!” Liam called up, holding out Lily’s lizard-printed-cased phone.

“Hm, well, I suppose that-that may be a good reason to come in, but!” Gold-Mann pulled out a slingshot. “What’s the password?!”

“Uh..Laffy Taffy!” Liam guessed.

“Ha! Wron--”

“--how’d you guess?!” Gold-Mann exclaimed.

“What? I thought the password was “plane crash”!” Taffy stated.

“But, I thought it was “the sloth team”?” Gold guessed.

“Wait, the why’d you say that--?”

“--Fire in the hole!” Liam yelled, running away from the wall as he threw a grenade at it.

“Gah!! Abort! Abort! Retreat!” Taffy yelled as the two ran up to the playroom.

After the explosion, Liam made his way past the rubble and up to the playroom as well.

“Hi, guys!” Liam greeted, immediately making his way over to Lily before anyone could welcome him.

“Here’s your phone back, Lily!” Liam hummed, smiling fondly at her as she took it.

“So you let him use it?” Zharia huffed, crossing one leg over the other in a sassy manner.

“Well, first of all, he’s my best friend. Second of all, he asked.” Lily huffed, putting her phone in the pocket of her onesie.

“So, anyway, what were you all doing?” Liam inquired.

“Well, Lily and I were thinking of putting the Slingshot Squad back together.” Gabby stated.

“Oh, that’s a really good idea!” Taffy poked her head out from behind the couch, startling Lily.

“But who’s the leader going to be?” Gold-Mann wondered aloud, following Taffy’s actions, scaring Lily once again.

Liam pointed to Lily whilst saying her name, Lily said Liam, Zharia and Randi said themselves, Gabby said Lily, Carmen said Gabby, Tori said Ronnie, Taffy said Lily, Gold-Mann said Taffy, and everyone else was silent.

“Why would you be the leader?” Lily hissed, but shrinking when Gabby held up her hand as a threat to flick her.

“Why wouldn’t I be the leader?” Zharia flipped her hair over her shoulder, not that she could flip much since her hair was in pigtails.

“Shouldn’t Randi be the leader?” Maaci nervously stated after Randi forced her to say so.

“Do you want to be the leader, Maaci?” Tori asked.
