Come With Me.

Hey! You read all the other chapters I'm assuming! They were bad right? I wrote those a long time ago, sorry about that.
But I wanted to add a new chapter to continue the story- So years later, here's chapter 4.

Nicholas looked at the girls. They were so tired, so beaten from running around the building, from arguing with their mom, dealing with everything.

He knelt down, looking Catherine in the eyes, taking her hand. Giving her a small hopeful smile,
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry things turned out this way," He spoke, shaking his head as he squeezed her hands gently, "What your mom does to you, it's horrible. And you definitely need to get away. For good."

Catherine's pained eyes stared at him as he spoke. She didn't know what to say, what to do. She just felt, numb. Just as she was going to start crying again, just as she was about to look away, Nick continued.

"Come with me," he whispered, tears forming in his eyes, "Come with me, to California. And I promise you'll never have to feel the pain again. The sorrow." He said.

Catherine started shaking, biting her cheek, trying not to start breaking down. A place to get away sounded so good, almost unimaginable. She would be leaving everything behind, all the memories, places she loved, her best friend. 
But at the same time, she knew she shouldn't stay. All the bruises, fights, scars, she didn't want it to get worse. She just wanted a brand new day. And this was her chance.

"I promise Catherine, I promise you that I'll be there for you."

She nodded in response, a small weak smile on her face. Her orange hair falling in front of her green dusty eyes.
Looking to Selena, she sighed. A long relived sigh.
"Okay," Catherine said while still looking at Selena, rubbing Nicks hands, "Let's get the hell out of here."

Everyone around them were talking amongst themselves, asking questions, making theories, they were all so confused. And rightfully so.

(As I, the one writing this, don't even know what I was thinking years back.)

Nicholas smiled happily and stood up, letting go of her hands, turning to the people. "I'm sorry these lovely ladies woke you all, I'll gladly take these women home to let you all sleep." He said to the residents.

One young man perked up, confused, "Uh but these women were attacked, you can't just leave- The police have to question them?"

Nick looked him, dead in the eyes, taking Catherine's hand. "But you see, I'm a character in a bad story, I get to leave without any consequences. The police don't exist in edgy stories," Nick scoffed as the man should've known this.
The man nodded, understanding the point. While the police nearby had their hands up in much confusion, looking around for anyone to point out their there. But alas, nobody gave a singular shit.

Catherine, Selena, and Nick all got up and walked outside the door, heading towards the parking lot. Selena took Catherine's hand, still shaken up about the whole event that just happened.
But will probably forget it because what kind of wattpad character cares about their consistency?

As they approached Nicks car, Nick stopped. Turning to the girls, sadness and a bit of fear in his eyes. Catherine cocked her head, putting a hand on her hip.
"What's wrong Nick? You gonna let us in the car?" Catherine asked.
Nick ran a hand through his beautiful, curly, blonde locks. "I'm just scared. If we run away, will...will your mom come after us?" He fiddled with his jacket.
Selena stepped up and put a hand on his shoulder, smiling as best she could, "I promise we'll all be okay. If we get far enough away, she simply won't exist anymore. Unless we need plot convenience."

Nick nodded, pulling his keys out if his pocket, unlocking the car. Everyone got in and Nick started the car. "Quick question. What about your other sister, Laura?"
He looked at the backseat where Catherine and Selena sat.

Catherine and Selena looked at each other, back at Nick, each other again, and back at Nick. "Meh fuck her." They said in unison.
Laura wasn't even a bad character, the author just really hated her for no reason. 🤷
Nick nodded, starting to drive. Thing was, they were already in California. So even I don't know where they were headed.
"California here we come!" Shouted Catherine as they passed the "leaving Hollywood" sign. Yeah. They were dumb as shit.

Hours went by, actually minutes because I said so. And they were in Hollywood again.
Catherine spread her arms out wide as she stepped out of the moving car- her face and the uncomfortable pavement met but she was fine. Even as cars ran her over, one after the other.
"We made it Nick! We made it to California!" She got out of the road and ran straight to the beach. It was gorgeous, soft sand, blue beautiful water, and the sun was setting.
Nick looked in the backseat, looking at Selena. "Where's Catherine?" He asked her.
"Uhhhhhhh- She deadass just jumped out of the car," She replied pointing at the open door.
Nicks eyes went wide and he slammed on the breaks causing Selena to fly out the window. "Fuckkk! Catherine!" Nick got out of the car and ran to the beach, as he figured that's were she was.
Meanwhile Selena was fuckin dead.

Nick ran to Catherine and huffed as he ran out of breath. "Next time warn me when you were gonna do that! You could've died!" Nick narrowed his eyes crossing his arms.
Catherine giggled, her orange hair flowing in the wind, "See I'm fine Nick," she twirled around, her skirt flowing around her oh so graciously.
Did I mention the word flow yet?

Nick chuckled, smiling happily. "I guess you are!" He took Catherine hand.
"By the way, where's Selena?" Catherine looked around.

Meanwhile-

"OH MY GOD I THINK SHES DEAD!" A pedestrian screamed, covering her child's eyes in horror.
"Wait!" Someone said as the corpse started to move, "It's alive! Oh thank god! Someone call-" as they said that, a car ran over Selena.
"Never mind, she's definitely dead."

Nick shrugged, "probably still in the car waiting for us. She'll come over here eventually." He said as he gently squeezed Catherine's hand.
Sirens flew down the street, everyone but Catherine and Nick paying attention to it.

"Thank you Nick," Catherine said, starting to cry anime tears.
"Of course Cat." Nick replied also crying anime tears.

"I love you, Nick." She looked up at Nick smiling, blush across her face as she said those words.
Nick ripped his hand away from her, a look of pure disgust on his face, "Bro I'm your cousin-" he backed away.

Catherine sighed, "I know! And I know it's wrong but I can't help my feelings! I want you Nick, I love you!"

Nick backed away more, "Nah, nah I'm good." Despite being a dumbass, he at least knew not to give into those horrid incest arcs.
Catherine went to hug him, but Nick fuckin booked it down the street- leaving Catherine by her lonesome.

Nick ran back to his car, got in, and drove away.

Into the water like a damn idiot.
One singular tear slipped down his face as he began to sink into the knee-deep water.

"I don't know how to drive," Those were the last words he ever said that you could hear. The rest of the words were just bubbles as he tried to breathe in the water.
Then he fuckin died.
