Chapter Seventeen- "Why?"

-Where we left off-
//Virgil POV//
...I feel my legs turn to jello as my eyes grow wide.
I see my parents yelling at Logan in the middle of the living room as L pushes Patton behind him to protect Pat. P has a hold of one of Lo's hands as I see tears run down his cheeks. My parents quickly stop yelling and turn their attention to me. "You want to tell us where you've been!?" My dad yells at me as he grabs me by the collar of my shirt and shoves me to the ground.

I feel my whole body shake as I look over at Logan who's now holding a crying Patton close to his chest and looking back at me. L gives me a sad look and nods his head. And for some reason I understood what he was nodding to me bout... "Well!? Are you going to answer your father!?" My mom says with a frown as I stand up and sigh. I know I'm gonna get my a** kicked after I say this but here goes nothing. "I-I was at R-Roman's house.. H-..He wanted me-e to meet his parents-s.." I say as I look down at the ground. I know s**t's bout to go down..

I hear my mom start crying and my dad sighs. "I knew it.. *Lucas slams his hand down on the coffee table next to him* Virgil! I warned you to never see that prissy a** Prince boy again! And I told you both to break up with this Roman Prince guy and Patton Heart! I told you and you didn't listen!.." My father screams as he looks at Lo and back at me. I feel my body shake with fear as me and Logan share a glance.

Pat wipes away his tears as he looks over at me and gives me a sad smile. "Virgil, we have told you countless times to never engage with the Prince's..So please explain to me why do care about some Prince BOY that will just hurt you in the end!? He's a Prince they are nothing but a bunch of lying, dramatic, most selfish people I have ever meet!" My mom says as she walks closer towards me and I take a step back.

"B-Because I-..I.." "You what!? Come on spit it out! Why do you want to spend so much time with a boy that will just end up breaking your heart!? When you could've met a nice girl that you could have had a family with!" My dad says as he grits his teeth and walks closer. I feel my palms start to sweat and I feel the room starting to spin. I close my eyes as I hear my parents continue with their ranting. I grit my teeth as I make my hands, that are at my sides, into fist.

            "BECAUSE I'M IN LOVE WITH HIM!"
