Its finally time

This is read in a woman's voice, about 27 years old. It is also on a tape, so its a bit scratchy. Although that is how i intended it, you can read it however you like! I hope you enjoy ~ snake

Hello world. I am Ahmya Enomoto. It is 17:23, on Tuesday April 9th 2020. And if you're hearing this that means you too have survived the end of the world. Ah...in case you were living under a rock.. It started in canada. Titan thunderstorms, the kind that destroys contents. Apparently there was a huge accident, a large part of america was also affected. Luckily, I live in Taiwan in China, so I had enough time to prepare myself for what was about to happen. My brother moved to canada for his school and..i lost him that day. He didn't have enough time to leave. They recovered his body and we took a plane to his funeral. No one knew what to say...it happened so fast. Over 5 million people died. Nothing happened again for about half a year from that point on, I started researching how the earth's wind could have created such a huge storm at NewFound and found a huge shift in the wind currents. Then it happened. An earthquake. I Heard an alarm sound before anyone else. The people who were monitoring the area for earthquakes pulled the alarm and we all evacuated. It was huge. I ran to my car as fast as possible but there was a lot of traffic. In front of me all the buildings were falling and there was an ear bleeding sound coming from all around me that drowned out the schrieks and crashes. There were fires everywhere, and at that point I jumped out of my car and ran as fast as possible away from the skyscrapers and tall buildings. Glass was breaking around me and my head was spinning. I tripped and sprained my ankle, but other than that I made it out safely. I thought that was the end of it. I remembered I saw on the monitor that the Richter magnitude was 16.2. Normally if it exceeds 7.5 it can produce a tsunami. I had no more time at that point. I had to think. Normally tsunamis come from the pacific ocean, and that is on the east side of taiwan. I wasn't close to that, but I still had to run. I couldn't outrun a tsunami, but then I noticed rescue planes flying above me. I shouted and screamed, eventually some came over to me. I got on along with a few others and we flew out of the earthquake zone. The rest of my family didn't survive either, except my little sister. There was in fact a huge tsunami there that wiped out a huge amount of people. Everyone was freaking out and the whole world was in chaos. From there, disasters kept happening. The world got hotter and hotter. All around the world it became summer. The population kept decreasing and there were less and less places where you were safe. The oxygen level increased and the bugs and insects got bigger and bigger. Other endangered species eventually went extinct. It's been 10 years and fortunately I am still alive. I was put in an underground safe department 200 feet underground. It is in the middle of nowhere, so it is safe from volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis. The earth's air isn't safe, and we need to wear masks 24/7. I left the shelter and went searching for any other human life in the south that might've survived in 2011. The air quality in China was less intense than in other areas, so it was safe to breath without a filter. Me and a few others searched there. It was.. it was hard. I saw all the buildings i've seen my whole life and food places i've worked at before just.. broken. Everything seemed so lonely and deserted. A lot of the plants were growing through the road and through buildings. Animals were living in apartments searching for food and making their nests in people's closets. I haven't accepted that the world is over until that point. Anyways.. on a good note the pollution stopped and a lot of trees are taking over areas that haven't been inhabited in decades. The problems humans have caused have stopped and are now being regrown. Currently, I am logging my days. They took a bunch of people who didn't work for the NF research company in a city underground with a lot of supplies and a whole city. I really hope that works out. They say they might start an entire civilization by themselves if the world wipes out the rest of us. I really hope so. Maybe this is just a new beginning. Anyways.. I've been rambling for a while now. Tomorrow i'll log my second day here. We're supposed to be searching around the area in case there was anything we've missed that might've caused the earthquake and tsunami. Ahmya over and out.
