Bittersweet Jester - Hisoka x Reader

5. Hunter Exam Part Five

What is up my lovely readers!! Some of the stuff here was supposed to be in the last part but I wanted to cut it short so it didn't exceed my limit. Hope you guys aren't mad ;-;

Akihiro POV

    The examiner had an odd way of moving. He looked like an army figurine, extending his arms and legs in an odd lengthy way. He decided to pick up the pace. Everyone went from walking to jogging within a few minutes of starting the first phase.

    As I was jogging, I noticed the man from before. The one with the Fuschia-colored hair and the odd jester outfit. I didn't see the pin man anywhere, though. I could've sworn I saw them together at the beginning. Oh well. I slightly started to jog beside him. Not too close, though. I was maybe two or three meters away. I felt his eyes creep in my direction. They were quite pretty, to be honest. Bright golden iris's. I noticed the shapes on his cheeks for the first time. A start on his left cheek and a tear on the right. Quite an odd choice of makeup, if you ask me. But it does go along with his style, though. Creepy jester. Anyways, the jogging turned into a run, and examinees started to fall back. Some completely stopping, some absolutely gasping for air trying to keep up.

    The man finally spoke, "Most of the examinees are keeping their distance from me, but what about you?~" he said. I continued looking forward, not making eye contact and saying, "I wanted to ask about the incident with the arms of the man who bumped into you. His arms turned into small flowers, right?" He seemed confused for a moment but then said, "You are correct," I replied with "I thought as much. Did you do it to him, though?" as I started to slightly pick up the pace. While continuing to follow my pace, he said "Why does a beautiful crimson rose like you want to know?~" which I replied with "Because it was quite beautiful. The flowers reminded me of something from my childhood. " He nodded and said, "Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. What do you think~". I thought about it for a moment. What do I think? It's a good chance it was him, but there is still a chance it wasn't. "I suppose you won't be answering my question. Goodbye, then." I waved and started to run ahead of him. "The name is Hisoka. Yours?" he said. I said, "Is that really information you need?" He pouted and then winked at me. I shivered.

    When I was a fair distance away from Hisoka, I adjusted to a good pace. I looked around again. I saw Gon next to some boy. I took a peek and it was Killua. Gon noticed me and said, "Hey Akihiro!" while waving. I waved back and Killua looked my direction. He gasped and said, "AKI?!?" while running towards me. He legitimately jumped on me. I did my best not to fall as I carried him. I felt a glare behind me and turned my head. It was pin head. He looked away as soon as we made eye contact. I ignored it and said "Yes, it's me. How has the exam been so far?". He said "It's pretty boring, to be honest. I finished all the stuff you gave me a while before I even got to the exam's location. Sorry!" while enjoying me carrying him bridal-style. I guess he really likes it or something. "It's not like I'm bothered, I guess. But bridal style is kind of weird. You mind climbing on my back instead?" I replied. He proceeded to climb over my shoulder and onto my back. He took my backpack off of me and held it while positioning himself on my back. "Thanks, Killua," I said. He said "No problem Aki!" while rustling through my bag. He grabbed a bag of chips out and started eating some. He offered me some and I nodded. He then proceeded to put it in front of my face and I ate it. 

    I looked over to Gon and saw Kurapika and Leorio with him. Their jaws dropped when they looked at me and Killua. They all said in unison, "HUH?! YOU GUYS KNOW EACHOTHER?", very confused. Killua then explained the situation with me and the Zoldyck family and how close we were. He said that I "basically raised him". I don't think I'm even capable of raising a dog, let alone a child. Oh well. He can say whatever he wants. They looked back at me. still surprised. "I didn't think Akihiro was that fun. She seems pretty reserved." Kurapika said. "Yeah. Why is she so close with you, huh?" Leorio said. Is he jealous? He doesn't even know me... Odd. "I think it's pretty cool that Aki and Killua are that close." Gon said. I guess it isn't too bad. "Anyways, Killua, wanna race to the end of the tunnel? Whoever loses buys the winner dinner." I heard Gon say. Hmm. Free dinner? I'll join. "May I join?" I said. "Sure!" Gon said. Killua looked at me, kind of disappointed. I guess he knows I'll win. "Ready... set... go!" Is all I heard before I sped toward the end. I was way ahead of Killua and Gon. When I raced passed all the other people, their jaws fell to the floor.

    I reared the end of the tunnel and turned around. I was well ahead of everyone, even the examiner. I guess I was faster than everyone. I decided to take a seat against the wall of the tunnel. I felt my eyes grow heavy, and I rested. I was awake but asleep at the same time. You could say alarmed while asleep.
