The week following Yvo's coffee date with Elara felt both exhilarating and complicated. He found himself looking forward to spending time with her while also feeling a sense of responsibility toward Maya. Each day brought a mix of anticipation and uncertainty as he tried to balance his emotions.

At school, Yvo noticed that Maya had been a bit quieter than usual. While she was friendly and engaged with their group, there was an underlying tension that he couldn't ignore. He knew he needed to check in with her, but he wasn't quite sure how to approach it.

One afternoon, as Yvo and his friends gathered at their usual hangout spot, he decided to pull Maya aside. "Hey, can we talk for a minute?" he asked, his tone serious.

"Sure, what's up?" she replied, her smile faltering slightly.

"I've noticed you seem a bit off lately," Yvo said, searching her eyes for understanding. "I just want to make sure you're okay."

Maya hesitated, taking a deep breath. "I'm fine, really. Just... processing things, I guess."

"Processing what?" Yvo pressed gently. "You can talk to me. I don't want you to feel like you can't share how you're feeling."

She looked down for a moment, collecting her thoughts. "It's just... I'm happy for you and Elara. I really am. But it's hard not to feel a bit left out, you know?"

Yvo felt a pang of guilt. "I didn't mean to make you feel that way. I still care about you so much, Maya. You're important to me, and I want us to stay close."

Maya looked up, her expression softening. "I appreciate that. I just need some time to adjust. It's a little confusing."

"I get it," Yvo replied. "I'll make sure to check in with you more often. You mean a lot to me."

"Thanks, Yvo," she said, her smile returning. "I just need to figure out my own feelings too."

As they rejoined the group, Yvo felt a renewed sense of determination. He wanted to ensure that Maya felt valued and included, even as he explored his relationship with Elara.

The following weekend, Yvo and Elara planned to go to a local music festival together. He was excited to spend more time with her in a fun and lively atmosphere. As they arrived at the festival, the energy buzzed around them, filled with laughter, music, and the scent of food from various vendors.

"Wow, this place is amazing!" Elara exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Right? There's so much to do," Yvo replied, feeling his own excitement rise. "What do you want to check out first?"

"Let's start with the food stalls! I'm starving," she laughed, pulling him toward a colorful array of food trucks. They sampled various dishes, from spicy tacos to sweet crepes, reveling in the flavors and each other's company.

As they walked through the festival, Yvo felt a sense of ease with Elara. They talked about their favorite bands, their plans for the summer, and even their hopes for the future. The connection between them deepened, and Yvo couldn't help but feel a sense of joy.

But as the sun began to set and the music kicked up a notch, Yvo noticed something. They passed by a stage where a familiar band was playing—a band that Maya had introduced him to. A wave of nostalgia hit him, and he felt a twinge of longing for the friendship he had with her.

"Hey, do you mind if we check out that stage?" Yvo asked, pointing to the crowd gathering around the performance.

"Sure, let's go!" Elara said enthusiastically, but Yvo sensed a flicker of uncertainty in her eyes.
