𝙲𝚑𝚒𝚌𝚊𝚐𝚘, 𝙸𝚕𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚘𝚒𝚜I hurried and grabbed my coat. Otis would be here any minute. I wore a black sparkly fitted dress with some black open toe heels. I wore my hair in its usual shoulder length bob.
I put on my coat before seeing my phone ring on my bed. I picked up the phone before he said, "hey I'm outside. You ready?"
"Yeah, I'm coming down now," I said as I grabbed my black Michael Kors handbag.
I grabbed my keys before turning off my lights and walking out of my apartment. I locked the door behind me before walking down the stairs.
"Okay... which car is yours?" I asked.
"I'll honk," he said before he did so.
I turned in the direction of a Lexus IS.
"Oh... I-I see you," I said before hanging up as I started walking in the cars direction.
I tried to keep my cool as he got out of the car. I smiled at him before he opened my door for me.
"Oh, thank you," I smiled before getting in.
He had red interior which practically had me ready to fall out. This was definitely one of the cars on my dream car list.
"You look beautiful," he complimented me.
"Thank you, you don't look too bad yourself," I said.
"I try," he said as he pulled out.
"So what place are we going to?" I asked.
"It's a nice restaurant," he replied.
"Okay... well which restaurant is it?" I asked before he chuckled.
"You'll see," he replied.
He turned up the music a bit before he got onto the freeway. We sat listening to king von the whole ride. Once we got there I of course didn't recognize the place.
I got out of the car before he could open the door for me causing him to show an expression of disappointment.
"You never gotta open a door around me," he said.
"Well thank you but I'm not handicap," I said as we walked into the restaurant.
"Reservation for Otis," he said to the woman.
"Right this way," she said before leading us to a rounded booth.
She handed us our menus before asking us for a drink.
"A sprite," I replied.
"Can we get a bottle of your champagne?" Otis said before she nodded and wrote it down.
"I'll get those for you two," she said before walking off.
I took off my coat before setting it in the seat.
"Do you know what you're getting?" I asked before he nodded.
"You?"
"No, I've never been here before," I replied as I opened the menu. "What's that?" I asked pointing to a word I didn't know how to pronounce.
"Trust me, I don't know how to say the shit anymore than you do," he said before I giggled.
"Okay well what are you getting?" I asked.
"This," he replied pointing to it on the menu.
"What's that? Pasta?" I asked.
"Somethin' like it," he replied.
I finally decided on what I was going to get. When the waiter came back with our drinks we told her our order before she went back and got them for us.
"I never asked what you did?" I said before putting the food in my mouth.
"What you mean? Like for a livin'?" He asked before I nodded. "I own businesses... clubs.. shit like that," he replied.
"Hmm... did you own that club we met at?" I asked.
"Nah but I'm thinkin' about investin'," he replied before I nodded. "How 'bout you? What you do?"
"I'm a tattoo artist, nothin' special," I said.
"Don't say that. Everybody can't be a tattoo artist, I know I can't," he said.
"Here, let me show you some of my work," I said as I pulled out my phone.
I showed him some pictures before he said, "you might have to do me one, these shits is fye."
"Thank you," I smiled.
"How long you been tattooin'?" He asked.
"Actually, or legally?" I asked.
"Actually," he replied.
"About six years," I said.
"Okay now legally," he said.
"Two years," I said.
"Damn... you from here?" He asked.
"Nah, I'm from Atlanta, you?" I asked.
"You for real? I'm from Atlanta too," he replied.
"For real? When you move here?" I asked.
"I was like twenty-one so about three years ago," he replied.
"I moved here two years ago," I said.
"What made you move?" He asked.
"My family... needed to get away from them. Luckily for me my best friend had moved up here a while ago for school, so she helped me a lot," I replied before he nodded. "How bout you?"
"Kind of the same shit. My dad passed and I didn't feel like there was a reason to stay so me and my two cousins moved up here," he replied.
"What made you pick Chicago?" I asked.
"My moms side lives up here," he replied before I nodded.
"Crazy how we was brought together like this huh?" I smiled.
"Hell yeah," he said as we looked at each other.
We laughed and talked the rest of the dinner before we decided to head home. We sat in front of my apartment building not wanting the night to end.
"Thank you for tonight, I had fun," I said.
"I did too... you want me to walk you?" He asked before I grinned.
"Nice try," I said before he chuckled.
"Try at what? I just want to make sure you get in safely," he said licking his lips.
"Okay," I said. "Well Mr. Hero are you gonna get my door?" I asked before he hopped out of the car and opened my door.
He closed it shut before we walked upstairs to my apartment.
"Y'know I wouldn't mind doing another date with you," I said as we stood in front of my door.
"Me neither," he said as he looked down at me.
We inched closer to each other before we kissed softly. He grabbed my waist and gripped my ass as he kissed me slowly. We heard Briana's front door open before we stopped and looked at her.
"No don't mind me, carry on," Briana said.
"Otis this is the best friend I was tellin' you about," I said.
"Aww you talked about me," Briana said.
"Hey I'm Otis," he said.
"I see..." Briana grinned.
"I'll text you," Otis said before I nodded.
He walked away before I glared at Briana.
"What?"
