I hAtE when the characters have such a good relationship, and then the smut is trash??? Like passion? Hello? U there?
And by trash I mean it can be improved.
The worst things I've seen have been either by having the characters actually cum too quickly after JUST starting to actually fuck, the lack of reactions, the lack of dialogue, or too many actions. Which are all things I've discussed before. (Except for the first one, which I didn't think I could go into enough detail because it's pretty self-explanatory...)
But thankfully, if you've read my last tips, you know how to fix these things!
Even with the cumming early thing, just flesh out everything else, and have the character's climax come later.
So repeat after me.
FOREPLAY IS HALF THE BATTLE!
The other half is actual sex. Don't shorten the last part just because you don't know what to write.
There is ALWAYS room to improve, and there is ALWAYS space you can fill.
You should have equal parts of foreplay and sex. Both should be significantly lengthy, because sex is lengthy. (Unless you're writing a quicky.)
