Lost in Revenge [DC Wonder Woman x M!Reader]

Prologue: A Potential Threat

- Third POV -

When the world is in danger, there is only one team in the world that you can rest comfortably with knowing that they are there to protect you. That one team is the famous Justice League that features the Dark Knight, the Symbol of Hope, the Princess of Themyscira, a Cyborg, the fastest man alive, and the pilot. 

Today, the more notable trio of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman gathered at the Batcave per the former's request without an explanation.

Superman: "Why did you call us here Batman?" He looks around briefly. "And could this have been discussed with everyone else present too?"

Wonder Woman nods in agreement with her longtime colleague. She knows how Batman is on top of what goes on in the world and if it required an in-person meeting with only her and Superman, then it must be important.

Wonder Woman: "I'd like to know too."

Batman currently looking away from his friends with his focus on the bat-computer typing away at something that looked to be classified files.

Batman: "Have you seen the news recently?" The pair shook their heads no. "Well there's a new vigilante that has appeared and to keep it short, I believe he is dangerous. I wanted to have your inputs before I inform the other half of the League."

The lone woman leans forward on Batman's chair and to read the text on the screen better while Superman also takes a step forward on the other side.

Wonder Woman: "So what would you like to tell us about this threat? Is he capable enough to stop us one on one?"

Batman: "Maybe but I also wanted to mention that I stopped him from killing the Joker."

The heroes go wide eyed, surprised that someone decided to take it upon themselves to go after arguably the most insane person on planet Earth. The Dark Knight's most infamous rival was almost killed and it was not by the hands of the Knight or anyone else of note.

The man in blue crosses his arms and raises his eyebrow in confusion to what was just stated. 

Superman: "What do you mean you stopped him from killing the Joker?"

Batman: "Exactly as it sounds Clark. The Joker was robbing a bank to get my attention but instead the Ruin beat me to it. I got there moments before the killing blow was made and was able to get the Ruin to retreat."

Wonder Woman: "Ruin?"

Batman presses enter on the abnormally giant keyboard and the screen reveals a large file on the supposed person name Ruin. It showed a huge picture of his appearance. 

Batman: "This is what he looks like." He taps another button revealing more statistics on Ruin that was analyzed by the bat-computer on your powers. "He's approximately 6'3. With what I have seen from quick clips through surveillance footage and the satellite, it looks like he can extend his limbs, has super strength, and self-regeneration. But that is not the most interesting part about him. What is interesting are the signals of kryptonite I am getting from the suit."

This information makes Superman take a step-back, his most famous weakness that has been exploited by the never-ending villains that appear.

Superman: "Kryptonite? But how?"

The man in the chair continues to type into the computer.

Batman: "I don't know. But I do suspect that his suit has more abilities for sure. He only appeared recently so we can safely assume that he isn't accustomed to his powers yet."

The trio continued to stare at the screen in silence, the guests to the cave just analyzing the surprisingly vast amount of information before them. After a few moments, the Princess breaks the silence while facing towards Batman. 

Wonder Woman: "Well what do you suppose we do? I am assuming you need us to ask him questions."

Batman: "I agree with you, he is a potential threat and I do have an idea to get his attention."

The screen then changes to the most recent news in Gotham and it was about another bank was being robbed as they speak.

Superman: "Y'know, I've noticed that his suit is similar to yours but with a fully covered mask and without a cape."

Batman: "Its similar I know. Most likely he knows that my armor is designed to be capable of a vast amount of situations that you might find yourself in." He gets from his chair. "Lets head out now, we do not have much time."

The other two nod in agreement and quickly departed from the cave.
