After taking blessings from everyone Draupadi along with Arjuna and his four brothers went towards their hermitage. The hermitage was situated near the borders of Panchal, it was made up of mud and hay. There were two cows tied with a rope outside the hermitage. Draupadi went towards them, and moved her hand over the cows.
"Rajkumari Draupadi! Mother is inside the hermitage let's meet her."
"Sure Rajkumar! I'm very much excited to meet maata." They went inside the hermitage, the place was smelling like scandal. Maata Kunti was sitting near a sculpture..praying to God.
Arjuna said, " Look mother, what I bought today in daan."
Draupadi who was seeing her peaceful mother in law praying turned towards Arjuna. The "daan" word shocked her.
Mata Kunti said, " Putra whatever u have bought divide it among yourselves."
Her statement shocked everyone. A bitter silence covered the pleasant environment. Draupadi's eyes became teary. All the brothers were schocked. Arjuna was disappointed and saw the tearful eyes of Draupadi.
Getting no reply from her sons. Kunti turned. She was shocked when she saw Draupadi.
Yudhisthira said, "Maata what did u say? And how could u even say without knowing what's the Daan."
Draupadi without saying anything left the hermitage and went to the cows outside the hermitage.
Arjuna thought to stop her but he didn't had the courage to stop her.
Kunti said, " Putra arjuna! Why did u use the word daan for Panchal's princess?? " Yudhisthira said, " maata the daan of a daughter is said to be the biggest daan. Therefore Arjuna used it."
Kunti was sad, tears were flowing from her motherly eyes. With a torn voice she said, " Now what Yudhisthira. U r dharmaraj, u have the knowledge of all the Vedas and shashtras. Pls tell Putra what should we do?"
Yudhisthira calmed her mother and said, "Maata Ur statement made our hearts sinful. We can't live in a place where Rajkumari is supposed to live. It would be a sin for us. According to me Rajkumari should marry Arjuna and all of us except Arjuna will take sanyas."
Kunti sighed with relief and went to Draupadi, "Putri, pardon me. Whatever I said was a coincidence. I'm really sorry putri." Draupadi turned and touched her feet. Kunti hold her by shoulders and hugged her tightly. Kunti said, " Putri my elder putra found an idea for this problem."
Draupadi interrupted her and said, " maata! Whatever u said was by mistake. And whatever idea Ur eldest son got may be right. But what about me? Am I a thing to be distributed? When tsunami comes it destroys the homes of many innocents. Everyone blames the sea for the destruction. But the truth is ~ sea is faultless maata." She bursted with tears and continued ," but the people living near the sea are also faultless maata."
