It was a nice sunny day. The morning after last night's rain was quite beautiful and in the almost silent time, birds were chirping making the morning more peaceful.
Mondays weren't often like this in Delhi. It was indeed a good day.
The morning silence was disturbed by the alarm clock when the clock stroke 6 AM in a house.
It was snoozed within few seconds.
It rang again at 6:15. And it was again snoozed off.
This went on for another hour.
Around 7:15 the cellphone rang in the house which went answered, of course. It rang again which eventually got her out of the bed and answer it."Hello?"
She spoke in a very sleepy voice."You still aren't awake? We had an early office today! Remember?"
Her friend spoke on the other side."Hmm? Office? Oh fuck! Yes, office!"
She said as soon as realization 'of getting late for the office again' hit her."So, now you're finally woke up, I think!"
"Shut up ! Boss is going to kill me today! I'm 8th time late in this month and after 3 times in last week, now this! That too on Monday."
She said trying to do somethings while being on phone."I know dude! I can relate."
"No, you can't! You live few streets away from office and you have a car! And you were like never late to the office ever!"
She said stoping herself in her way to get ready fast and wonder on what just her closest friend in the office said."Okay! Okay! Cool down and get your ass here real quick or at least on time."
She chuckled."Ummm..mmm...trraaying!"
She said brushing her teeth."I hope you're brushing now, so I'm gonna hung up now!"
"Hmm!"
"Bye!"
She was getting ready very fast and all the beauty of the morning lost for her in her office preparation.
"Oh God! I'm late again!"
She said it one more time out of so many times but this time louder while locking her apartment. She got out and waited for the bus at stand but unlike her bus came on time and she got in, grabbing a seat, thanked God for the on-time ride.
The bus service is always a start and stop ride so the morning chaos was quiet normal.
She had her earplugs on and was looking out the window, enjoying the breeze of the beautiful morning at last."Madam, ticket?"
The conductor called. She showed him her regular passenger pass as she travels in buses daily.
"Sir, aapka?" (Sir, yours?)
He asked the person sitting beside her.He told him his destination and he gave him the ticket.
"Oh, someone decent is sitting next to me. Is this a dream? Maybe he is new, never seen him travelling this route. And how can I not know when he sat beside me? He is sitting very calmly in this crowded bus. Cool. He definitely has a job in marketing, he dressed up like that. But he is looking good, I must say. And thank God he is not a jerk like most people I face. Still."
She started thinking to herself while glancing at him few times. She does this many times, analyzing someone in her head without even knowing them and forget about them the second they're gone. His stop came before her and he got off. She after sometime also reached her office.
She worked as a Graphic designer in an software company. She was very good at what she do. She was working here for over 2 years and was expecting a promotion."You're 20 minutes late! Congratulations!"
Her friend said as she approached her at her desk."Don't pull my leg now!"
She said and they chuckled."Miss Aadhya Goswami, meet you in my office in 10 minutes."
Her boss said leaving "I'm gonna get myself fired" expression on her face."Good luck!"
Her friend said on which Aadhya gave her the death stare.□●□●□●□●□●□●□
