She dreams of ice, covering everyone, freezing them where they stand, but it doesn't touch her. Ice cold fingers and frozen breath, she sees her father with a sword, protecting the castle. She knows her people are in danger, she may be young but she understands, she hears her parents talk in the bedroom, and she often wonders what's happening around her. She admires the place from the window, everything is frozen, her people walk around like nothing is happening, but she knows that behind the walls of the city, there's danger waiting for them.

She dreams of a girl, melting the wall when she leans against it, but it's not summer and she doesn't understand. She stares at the little girl from afar, she's probably the same age as me, she thinks. She watches with adoration how the girl seems a bit goofy, gasping whenever she acidentally melts a bit of ice. Only moments later, Perrie realizes that the girl doesn't belong here.

She dreams of the sun, of men laughing and fighting and she sees the little girl again, but this time she's a little bit grown, just like Perrie herself is. This time she notices her look more, she has brown hair with blonde tips, along with brown eyes. But her eyes hide something, they hide a fire and Perrie is sure that one day she's gonna discover what's closed behind these eyes.

She dreams of her mother, sitting on the Ice throne along with her father. She has really long, white hair and when she smiles weakly, Perrie feels like someone is stabbing her. Her mother caresses her cheek and mutters something that Perrie cannot quite grasp. Perrie just smiles and leans into her mother's soft, ice touch. It doesn't affect her, and she's glad, because she doesn't want to freeze.

She dreams of the girl again, and this time they're staring at each other. Perrie is lost in her fire brown eyes again but she doesn't understand why, so she just stands and stares. She can hear people fighting and screaming around them but they don't tear away their gazes, and Perrie feels ice cold sweat on her skin.

She keeps dreaming of her, hot breath and hot skin, laughing so hard that her skin burns and her eyes are closed. She tries to reach her, tries to understand who that strange girl is but when she's almost beside her, she feels like fainting and smoke covers her eyes before she falls.

When she opens her eyes, there's the brown-eyed girl staring at her. Perrie gasps wide-eyed, suddendly standing up and moving away from the girl. It's the first time she hears the girl talk.

"You fainted." she states, gazing at the girl like she could harm her in any way possible, when in reality, Perrie is sure fire can harm her more than anything. Perrie's gaze drops at her feet and then back at the girl, and she notices that she's gotten closer, somehow.

"Don't come any closer,"

"Why?" the brunette tilts her head and steps a little bit closer, and Perrie feels like she's a little girl again and she doesn't understand where the danger is.

"When you're near me, I feel... weak, less powerful..." Perrie explains, stepping back, away from the fire girl.

"That's because we're too different to be close." the brunette says, and a smirk appears on her face. Perrie is sure that this girl is up to no good, but then again, Perrie is never sure about anything.

"Then why are you here? In my place?" the brunette laughs.

"My father is here, too. He said he had work to do, in your place." She mutters carelessly, and when Perrie is distracted, she steps closer.

"I like you." She says. "I will kill you last." She whispers before she disappears, and Perrie stands there, frozen.

During the night, Perrie is woken up by loud screams and the smell of smoke, and this time, she knows that the danger is not behind the walls anymore, but inside. She takes her heels off and runs down the corridor, and then down the stairs. She feels water under her feet, but she doesn't dare look down, she knows she's too weak.

She feels her before she sees her, it has become natural to her. She feels hot breath and hot skin bebind her, just like her dream, and there she stands. The brunette beauty wraps her arm around the blonde's neck, and it's anything but painful.

"Your people thought they would survive," the brunette whispers, and Perrie feels her smirking against her cold skin.

"Pathetic, right?" Perrie knows she's getting weaker by the second, she can't feel her feet anymore and the girl's grip on her neck is always stronger.

"You were the first I noticed," she whispers, when Perrie felt like collapsing on the floor. She didn't though, because the girl was holding her.

"I almost thought about not killing you, you were so beautiful, surrounded by the frozen creatures. You almost changed me, almost." Perrie doesn't feel anything anymore, and she closes her eyes, savouring the last moments of her life.

"But you know how it is. Fire's above the Ice, it's the rule."

She dreams of the brunette girl one last time, she's smiling down at her. She pecks Perrie's cheek softly and smoke is the last thing Perrie sees before she closes her eyes.
