Chapter 4

A step forward...A closer view

I dodged a punch, moving my body swiftly to the side and placing my foot to the side making the girl fall over. She grunted as she met with the cold ground. Next Berthold swung a let at my right side, I quickly got a hold of his ankle and twisted it. He yelped in pain and fell on the filthy surface

I gasped for air, exhausted from the hours of fighting and training the 3DMG, I wiped the sweat that formed on my forehead and saw from the corner of my eye Jeager that jumped. He stretched his left leg out to kick me down, but I locked his leg under my armpit and landed a punch to his abdomen. He flew back onto the ground and clutched his stomach, he was whining in pain.

Next, I felt my arms being pulled behind my back as someone tried to pick me up. I recognized Reiner, his strong sent of sweat made me snicker in disgust and I knew one thing. I wanted to get out of his dirty arms as quickly as possible.

I crouched down, my arms still securely in his hold, and jumped up. I caught him off guard making him lose the grip on my forearms. I jolted my legs upwards, the movement made my body fold inwards. I did a backflip, my arms tightening on Reiner's one pulling him over my shoulder and as I landed on the ground I smashed him into the ground.

The ground underneath him cracked and he was wincing in pain, I smirked and threw my arms into the air,

"You all died!" I cheered, "I've won!" I smiled brightly as whispers and congratulations were heard among the cadets, then they started clapping their hands in disbelief of my victory

I then rushed to Reiner that was still laying on the ground, his eyes shut tightly, I grew worried and crouched beside him, "Oi, Reiner," I touched his shoulder, "You didn't die, did you?"

He opened his eyes, a chuckle fell from his mouth, "I'm surprised not yet."

Authors POV

The girl laughed as she helped the male up, they talked among themselves and soon helped their other friends. They laughed and smiled not knowing they were watched this whole time.

"So that's the fighting skill of this cadet?" The woman asked being amused

"Yes, I was surprised as well at first, never knew she had so much strength." Shaids answered, "That's why I considered the decision"

The blond-haired man had his index finger on his chin, deeply thinking about it. He didn't know if it was right or not, the girl was still young and needed to train, but properly.

"Keith," He looked over to the bald man, "I'll permanent the decision if you fight her, and if she will be able to do any harm to you." He said sternly, his face lacking emotion

"H-huh?!" The woman gasped backing away softly, "What are you crazy?!"

He just looked at her, "She's not that innocent." He then looked back at Keith nodding towards him, "She's holding back,"

"Alright fine, but I'm not taking any responsibility if she gets hurt." He started walking towards the training grounds, "Watch closely, Commander."

He then disappeared out of their sight, the woman pushing her glasses up further the bridge of her nose, "A weird way of testing," She sighed, "Well, hope she does well."

I tried calming Mikasa that was pushing a water bottle into my mouth, clearly worried about my health. I laughed her off and started walking towards the barracks

"That was way to easy, I say you fight a better opponent." I heard a deep voice call out to me, "I suggest you spear against me, Cadet (L/n)."

I felt my chest tightening as I turned around to see our Instructor.
