I was up early. And in a very good mood. I was going to meet someone special. I had a feeling about it. I loved being in this town. I had moved here to this town to look after my grandma for my great aunt Alice.
I ended up not needing to when Alice finally married Sam. I moved into the house where she used to live in. When she worked for the Brady Bunch family.
I felt just awful when I met Mrs. Brady at aunt Alice church one Sunday. She seemed so alone and sad. She told me she lost her husband over a year ago. Aunt Alice introduced us.
And I grew to be very close with Mrs. Brady. I always had been an only child. And I wished for a big family. So, I enjoyed hearing all the great stories about family trips. And her kids.

Mrs. Brady was super excited when Greg her oldest son planned on moving back home. To take over his father's company before it would be sold off. I met Bobby once.
He was married and younger than I was. Newly married. I know aunt Alice and Mrs. Brady were hoping to make a love match with Greg and me. But all I wanted to do was to make a groovy new friend.
I was so happy Greg was in town. I waited a day to trot over there so he and Mrs. Brady would get settled in with one another.
But now I was heading over today with aunt Alice. To meet Greg and have a luncheon this afternoon. I hum to myself. And I make breakfast. I wondered what Greg was like. What he was really like?
Was he everything his mother claimed for him to be?
Tall, dark, handsome?
Sweet and shy?
Talented?
Charming?
I bet a lot of girls in this town would be thrilled to have Greg back home again. I hoped to meet the girls when they visited this Christmas. If I did not travel back to see my own family like last summer out in Michigan.
I ate my grapefruit and my toast. I then head upstairs to get ready for my day. I take a long hot shower. Then wash my hair good. And when I get out, I dry off and wrap a towel around me. Towel dry my curly sandy blond hair.
I head into my room wearing nothing but my towel. I to go to look through my clothing for the perfect outfit to meet Greg in. I lay the dress out on the bed. Two of them. Then muddle over what I should wear. I wanted everything to go perfect with our meeting.
For aunt Alice and Mrs. Brady of course.

I hear whistling outside my window. I gasp as I glance outside my window. I spy someone. Greg was out there taking the trash out for his mother. I smile. He had yet to turn around. I did not get a good look at him. Darn. He heads back inside and not turning around. Oh well.
