Wedding day

i watched him waiting down the isle, he looked so happy like his whole world was about to be complete the only problem was i wasn't the girl he was waiting for which was breaking me

Mattia Polibio my childhood bestfriend who i had been crushing on since well i knew what crushing was

He knew i liked him in 6th grade we tried dating but it didn't work so we decided to not break our friendship because of some dumb young love

Me and Mattia were inseparable we were always there for each other and the boys knew that too

They would always make jokes telling us to date and well i wanted it to happen but he didn't which made it awkward

We've had a few fights before like when he started dating his wife i would always fight with her to the point where she said she didn't want Mattia around me anymore and i agreed to stop fucking with her

I was day dreaming when i felt a tap on my shoulder and i didn't realize that they were now kissing and as a bridesmaid i was supposed to be cheering because they were officially married but instead i felt a tear roll down my cheek and of course mattia knew what was wrong but decided he wasn't gonna ask me about it, I forgot to look at who tapped my shoulder even though i knew who it was Celia she also knew about my crush on Mattia for fucks sake were 28 why am i still obsessing over this boy like we're 13

My memories with him rushed though my head as we took pictures that he was gonna look at and say damn, im married now.

Then i don't know time just fled and it was time for me to say my speech which i really didn't wanna do but i knew it was gonna make mattia happy since he knew i had social anxiety so that was my gift to him which he was really appreciative of.

you said as your voice cracked and you watched the faces in the crowd laughing

Y:i remember when we were 13 we agreed that if we hadn't found love by 30 we'll just get married to each other which was funny but i guess i'll be moving on to Kai

the crowd started laughing and you pulled a fake smile but you were holding back tears and Kai saw

Kai saw you leaving to go outside and he followed you

Y:i love Mattia and i wouldn't want anything to ruin our friendship but i think i'm in love with him not just his looks but him as a person Kai look at this boy i mean now he has a wife they're gonna live together forget about us forget about me and i'm gonna be single forever and i'm gonna live knowing i'm still in love with my 2nd grade crush
