Caroline sat in her room playing with her fingers staring at the dress she's wearing tonight for midsummers. all she could think about is JJ and what his father did when he bailed him out of jail. Melissa stepped into her daughter's bedroom turning on the lights and opened the curtains.
"mom!" Caroline pulled the covers over her head.
"are you still not ready?" Melissa asked her daughter setting her son down on the bed.
"i will in a bit, i just- i can't stop thinking about JJ, mom. you know how Luke is and Topper deserved it for what he did to Pope." Caroline pulled the covers off sitting up looked at her mother.
"look, baby. i know you're worried about him but the more you do you won't focus on getting ready." Melissa fixed her hair in the mirror.
"seriously? why are we even going to this stupid thing? Rafe keeps asking me to be his date and i can't stand him." Caroline held her brother fixing his hair.
"because Rose finally got us into the Island Club, she's done a lot for us ever since we opened up the marine hospital." her mother explains turning to her.
"if she's sticking me into the Kook academy i'm burning that place down." Caroline stated, since the beginning of summer Melissa had been speaking to Rose about Caroline joining the same school Sarah Cameron goes to.
"Caroline. enough, we talked about this."
"mom, the Kooks are annoying as shit. they hate me and i hate them. i rather stay at Kildare with my friends and there's no way i'm wearing that preppy school uniform." she pointed to her mother who walked over to her.
"you're going tonight and that's final." Melissa walked over grabbing Matty, "now get ready, i love you." with that, her mother placed a kiss on her forehead leaving the room.
"fine, i'll get ready at Kie's!" Caroline rolled out of bed slipping her birkenstock's on grabbing her dress, bag and flower crown.
"don't forget your makeup!" Melissa yelled causing the brunette to groan loudly, grabbing her makeup bag shoving it in her bag.

fixing her makeup only putting a bit on and her hair tying the flower crown Caroline sighed sitting down on one of Miss Anna's chair's tying her heels on which she already disliked. Kiara stared at herself in the mirror annoyed not liking her dress or flower crown.
"this is disgusting." Kiara said.
"i know. it's just horrible." Mrs. Anna says, "i'm asking you girls to relax and go to a fun party"
"i look like a bourgeoisie pig." Kie turned to her mother.
"at least you don't look like a rose that bloomed upside down." Caroline stood up joining Kiara's side grabbing some of her perfume.
