play : galway girl by ed sheeran
y/n was not really a party girl but she enjoyed one every now and again. it was the school's summer ball, which wasn't really a ball, just a bunch of sixteen year olds getting drunk when they weren't old enough to anyways. along with the teachers who didn't give a fuck about it.
y/n was drunk, very drunk. enough to not have a clue where she was going or what she was doing, who she was touching. that's why if she were sober, she'd not even imagine herself dancing with sunwoo like she was right now. sunwoo was fighting the urge to push her off him, and also the urge to take her home and make sure she didn't drink any more, but at the same time he was enjoying this while it lasted.
eric's eyes were burning into sunwoo's head from behind as he watched them dance together. they were supposed to hate each other, like they had done for so long. meanwhile, hyunjoon was watching his best friend and his crush dance, so of course he was feeling a little jealous. however at the same time he was happy that sunwoo was finally admitting that he liked y/n without even having to say anything.
...
"do you remember anything that happened last night?" a muffled voice called out, as y/n opened her eyes to a blurry figure. the voice seemed to make the room spin even more, sending a sharp pain through all her synapses as she tried to sit up.
"lie down, what do you need? are you thirsty? it seemed like you got enough last night," she heard another voice say. she could already tell it was her two brothers standing over her shaking her shoulders and bombarding her with questions that even she didn't know the answers to.
"where...am i?" y/n spoke, unsure of her surroundings.
"you're in your bedroom, don't worry. you didn't make it that far," juyeon said. she could now identify who was talking as she was slowly sobering up and her vision was clearing.
juyeon was disappointed in his sister. she was only sixteen yet she got so drunk that she couldn't even stand by the end of the night, and she almost made it into sunwoo's house as he was going to let her stay the night in her drunken state, but he decided the best thing to do would be to call juyeon. he got his number through hyunjoon who got it through eric.
y/n couldn't remember a thing at all from last night. she woke up in a hoodie and some tracksuit bottoms, feeling very nauseous.
when y/n could finally comprehend her surroundings, she asked what on earth happened to her brother younghoon, as juyeon had left them to answer the door.
"what happened, younghoon? why do i feel like this?"
"it's called a hangover," he said, laughing slightly. "you shouldn't drink like that when we're not around,"
y/n couldn't tell if what he said was to be taken in a romantic way or not, but younghoon's smile sure got her hopes up.
"but what actually happened? why can't i remember anything?!"
"i think you should be asking him that," juyeon said, nudging sunwoo into y/n's bedroom. juyeon actually respected sunwoo for calling them to come and pick her up, a lot of other people would have just let her stay over, which would have made his blood boil with anger.
"hey, y/n...how are you feeling?" sunwoo spoke. he remembered every detail from last night.
