play : let her go by passenger
what a day for jacob and y/n.
she could always rely on jacob for a good time. she was feeling rather bored on a weekend with juyeon, hyunjae and younghoon playing basketball in the garden as all she did was watch. so, she called her good friend jacob and asked him if he had some spare time as she knew he was quite busy with studying.
jacob had the idea to take her to a farm, as he knew that she loved animals. this farm was owned by a family friend and he wanted to take y/n horse riding. they had a lot of fun together, as they watched the sunset after their long day. they fed pigs, goats and cows, and they also got chased by a bull - just your average weekend. but luckily jacob saved y/n by finding a hiding place and bringing her in close. y/n couldn't even control her rapid heartbeat at the time, nor could jacob. and y/n couldn't get over the fact that he probably just saved her life.
"the sun looks so beautiful when it sets," y/n said, breaking the quiet air surrounding them.
jacob nodded and sighed. "i prefer sunrise though,"
y/n looked across to jacob who was looking out to the horizon with sun splashed on his soft skin, illuminating his features. she couldn't even take her eyes away from him...it was like he had been sculpted by zeus himself. (A/N lol jwoos)
"why is that?" y/n said, as jacob looked to her with his perfect smile.
"it's the start of a new day...a chance to change, a chance at life again,"
one of the best things she loved about jacob was his optimism. she had never seen him angry, or sad...he was always smiling and happy. but she couldn't help but wonder if there was something going on with him that he'd never tell her about because nobody can be happy all the time, right?
jacob knew he had to let go of his crush of y/n at some point. he knew it would make everything so complicated with the band, he was three years older than her...he just had to let her go. but maybe if he told her now, he would get over her sooner because she had turned him down rather than him wondering for the rest of his life whether she liked him back or not.
"y/n..." jacob began, earning y/n's attention. he quickly hopped down from his horse and helped y/n do the same, catching her with his arms around her waist. he didn't want to let her go, and she didn't want him to either.
"i've always liked you, y/n,"
she was getting closer to him without even knowing it. "i have always liked you too, jacob..."
