We sent this lovely winner ten questions, and these were their answers. If you think more questions should have been asked, comment your question and we will consider adding it. Thank you very much.

'BitchThatsMe' won first place in 'The Discovering Elites Award' in the summer of 2020. With their story 'A Change Of Heart - A Crush Story' Let's see what they say about these questions.

When did you realize you wanted to be a writer?

My life isn't like how people imagine it to be. Even though I wear a tough facade on the outside, only I and I alone know what's going on in the inside. I had to ---somehow--- sort through my feelings and emotions, and writing seemed the best way to go forward with. The reasons my characters are so sarcastic and have such quirky personalities. They're basically my alter egos.

When did you write your first book?

I wrote my first "album" ---yep, and album of songs --- when I was in the 12th grade. They helped me to get rid of the anguish of many bad breakups, and the peer and parental pressure I had then faced every day. My first book come when I was a freshman in college, and going through love and attraction once again.

What do you like to do when you are not writing?

Music, of course. Listen, sing, Bob my head to Evanescence, Cry to Tayler Swift, the like. And study. Think of it like this: Music is the blood flowing through my veins. Studying is like breathing.

What does your family and friends think of your writing?

The few (not online) friends I have seem to love my books. I don't know if that's genuine or not tho, I can't ever tell. My parents don't know I write. They'll have my head and probably disown me if they get to know about this kind of stuff I write. Indian parents *sighs*.

What inspired you to write the winning book?

My life. My *messed up* life. It consists of the day-to-day activities, my fantasies about angsty love and true friendship. It's sort of a diary, but even better since I am the one controlling the MC's lives. The chapters depend on my mood and life in general.

Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

As I said, I get inspired from my life and my life alone. Various things happen every day, but I can't bring myself to voice my thoughts and feelings because of the society, so I write them in the form of my protagonist's feelings and show them fearlessly to the world.

How many books have you written? What is your favorite?

Four books so far. My absolute favorite is the winning book --- A Change Of Heart --- because firstly, it's my first novel and secondly because a lot of things are tangled amongst the chapters things very dear to me.

What has been your favorite comment on your story?

I don't have any favorite comment per se since all of them are equally awesome. However, the one thing I love it when readers say that they relate to my characters a lot. They love the simple writing style as if they're watching it happen right before their eyes. That gives me immense pleasure partly because I have an unhealthy obsession over my books.

What do you think makes a great story?

Simplicity and a unique storyline. And the ability to connect with the readers. And maybe a good cover.

Who is your favorite character you have written?

Destiny Hayes, the protagonist of the winning book. I'd choose her any day. Know why? Psst she is ME! (Catch The Tayler Swift reference.)

Congratulations 'BitchThatsMe' I hope you keep writing. Nothing should stop you from chasing your dreams. I can really relate to your answers, and I hope you find everything you are looking for.
