As the ship kept on our course I decided to get some rest because I hadn't slept in a while. I leaned my head back and fell asleep, and I had a strange dream. I was at the lake I saw in my last dream except for this time the water was murky and had scum floating on top. In the distance, I saw a glowing orb of light. It was the black and purple light I had been seeing all the time and then I saw a swarm of those black bees I had got bitten by the previous day. They all swarmed around the orb and formed into a huge mass of energy. It grew and grew until it went down and disappeared into gross water. For a moment nothing happened. Then the ringing happened and it was louder than before, it was the most painful thing I had heard before. It formed into that static distorted voice again and it said "So you have found me". I fell to the ground covering my ears and then I looked up and saw a pale and frail hand coming out of the water and I saw a glowing red cyborg eye.
I awoke in a panic and I felt wet. I smelled my shirt, it smelt like old water, something you'd smell inside an old bottle of water. I looked around, Fara was nowhere in sight. She must have a room of her own on this ship. The ship was called The Doom Ship apparently. I had seen things similar to it in some old books I found. I believe these flying battleships were used in the Mayt smuggle of 2046. Everything I knew I learned from books. Living on the farm with nothing else to do but work, the only thing I could do besides that was read about the world I never saw before. But I understand now, why mother did what she did. She was only afraid that I would get found by AA and sent away or even killed. But that dream I had, that lake, the strange hand, and the bugs and orb. What did it mean? what was this dream trying to say and what was that voice who speaks to me. It felt so familiar yet foreign to me. I sat down and began to work on Wasp's parts putting them back together. I managed to get every part back on but I could not find his conscience box to give him his thinking and way of function. without it, he'd be just a useless machine. I sat up and walked down a hallway to find Fara. I found a door and opened it. I saw Fara sitting at a computer with her head laying on a table with her arms around her head and she was crying softly. "Fara? are you ok?" I asked walking up to her. She looked up and wiped her tears trying her best to hold it together. "Look at this, its a video message from Winda," Fara pressed a key on the keyboard and a video began to play. Winda was in her room looking very distressed. "Fara! I need your help, that boy you brought with you, Alpha Advancements are looking for him and they are here now!" Winda was yelling while passing back and forth. "Oh my god Cyphercri! what do I do!" as she yelled this the door slammed open and some soldiers ran in. The video then cut off. "They have killed her, I know they did," Fara said with a deadly tone in her voice. "So kid it looks like I am really going to have to help now because if I go back they'll kill me, and I now want revenge on them for killing the only person that felt like family to me," Fara said standing up and walking out of the room. I followed her and we went back to the control room. "We must land someplace, we have to refuel the ship," she said looking at a touchpad looking for a place to land. "Hm, the city Metropolis, I think that is our best option," she began to press in some numbers ontop a panel and we began to seed up.
10 minutes past and the ship landed. We got out and saw that we were in a field. In the distance, we saw a long road. "This road will take us there," Fara said putting on a satchel and handing me a bottle of water. "Why'd we land all the way out here?" I asked taking the bottle as we began to walk down the long road. "Because if AA knows what ship we got then they'll surely make a trap for us, also wear this," she handed me a piangi mask. "Why should I?" I asked putting on the mask which was uncomfortable. "So that they won't know who you or I are," she said putting on a ride mask.
We walked for 3 miles and finally made it to Metropolis, we walked into the city, it was massive. Giant skyscrapers, factories, houses, big and small, trains, subways, and everything you can imagine in a big city but 10 times larger. We got onto a train that was headed to the east side of town. The train ran really fast through the city. People were everywhere walking around, going about their lives. But I felt som.ething in my head like a sharp spark. Then it happened again, the ringing which grew to the ear-piercing high pitch ring. And then the voice spoke and said: "Look for a man with a violet scarf". The train stopped and we got off and walked over to a shop. "I'll go get the fuel you stay here," Fara said taking off the mask and walking inside. I stood outside and looked around. I had never seen so many people before, so many different types. I saw a man selling fruits on a corner of the street. A woman and her child walking down the sidewalk holding a blue balloon. I saw a man with a leather jacket and a blond beard walk past me and bumped into me by accident. "Oh sorry about that!" he exclaimed sounding a little intimidated due to my mask. "That's quite alright sir," I said in the best friendly tune I could. As he turned away to walk I saw something tucked inside his jacket. It was a violet scarf. I deiced to follow him. We walked for several minutes and he eventually noticed that I was following him because he began to walk faster. Something about this guy seemed so familiar, but I could not remember why I had seen his face before. He walked down an alleyway and I turned down it as well. But he disappeared. I looked around and could not find him. But then I heard something then got smacked in the face with a wooden rod.
I woke up and found myself on a white couch in a room with a large window looking out at the street. over to my left was a canvas with a painting in progress on it. To my right was a fishbowl with goldfish and a painting of a vortex, it looked like the portal I went through that took me to the forest. The man walked into the room and sat a wooden chair in front of me. "Well, It's good to see you Atlas, I never thought I'd see you again," he said handing me a cup of tea. I had just realized he could see my face, I saw my mask sitting on a table, it was damaged due to the rod hitting me. "How do you know who I am?" I asked accepting the tea. "Because I am your father Atlas, my name is Jason," he said taking off his jacket and scarf hanging them over the back of the chair. Then I remembered the photo in my mother's room. The man in the photo was him, of course, he did not have a beard in the photo. "You...you are my father? but I thought you were dead, and mother said your name was Paul!" I exclaimed. "So she did make up something, I figured she would, you see she made that up so you would not know about me, she thinks I am too dangerous or something, but I know she's wrong if anything she's the one who is dangerous," he said pouring whiskey into a glass. "She's dead now...she sent me through a portal and I landed in a forest," I said looking down at my tea still trying to process everything, "But why did she think you were dangerous?". "I know about what happened at the house, and I am truly sorry, and the reason she thought that is because well, I am from a bloodline, a powerful one, I am related to The One," he said sitting back down sipping his whiskey. "The One?" I asked in utter confusion. "The One was a man who lived many many years ago, he was powerful, he had the ability to travel through space and time, he could shapeshift, and even bend reality itself, he's the one who made it possible for people to create portals and travel through them, and I and you are related to him, that's why you have those strange abilities that your mother told you about, which is why you were sent away because she did not understand what it meant to be related to The One," He got up and handed me a book. "This book will help you unlock the power inside of you, my son," Jason said with a smile. "How could you call me that? I never even met you! where the hell were you!" I shouted tears forming in my eyes. "I told you, your mother never allowed me near you, and believe me if I could I would have been there the whole time raising you, but your mother hated me only because she was afraid of what she did not understand! she sent you to that hell hole of Alpha Advancements, and she lived her life in guilt for what she did, so don't you think of her as a saint, because she was far from that," he said placing his cup down on the table next to my mask. "I don't have time for this, I am going to the AA Traut Facility to find someone there to help me destroy them all!" I said, my voice sounded more aggressive than ever before. I picked up my mask and book headed towards the door. "No, no you must not do that, you don't know what you're-" he began to say but I did not listen and slammed the door walking out. He opened it and yelled, "Just know I warned you!".
I put my mask on and walked to the shop, I saw Fara standing outside. "Where have you been?" she asked in an irritated tone. "I got sidetracked by something," I replied adjusting my mask, it was hard to wear now that it was damaged. "Whatever... we got a problem, this shop does not have the fuel we need, but I found some guy named Brutus and he said that he has some, but we can only have it if we beat him at a game of Hukle, whatever that is," Fara explained. "Hukle? I used to play that game with my andriod Wasp," I said. "So you think you can win it?" Fara asked. "Yes, I think so!" I exclaimed. "Then we should not waste a second!" Fara said grabbing my arm and leading me down the street to meet Brutus.
