Seventeen

Farrah was so indulged in her work,she didn't care about the people that were passing so she didn't spare any of them a glance.

"Dr Farrah can we talk?":She heard the voice she really didn't want to hear.

One thing about her is that she is very simple and free but that doesn't mean you should take her for granted,she knows that she deserves respect,care and love and anyone who is not ready to give her that she let that person be,she cannot force someone to like her.

"Am working":She replied without turning around.

She wasn't looking at him but she knew that he sat down because of the squick a chair made indicating that someone sat down on it.

"Am so sorry for not coming that day, I had somewhere important to go":He said and she finally turned around coming face to face with Dr Walid who was looking so handsome but she decided not to drool over him for now.

"My problem is not the fact that you didn't come Dr Walid,of course you have your own life and schedules and emergencies do happen,it is just the way you cancelled it"

"That message was so rude and it indicated how much you really didn't care about how I will feel"

She closed her eyes frustratedly and then open them.

"You didn't apologize and say it was something you had to do,you just said "I can't make it,maybe next time" like Dr Walid what do you really think of me?,a doll or what"

"I have feeling am a human being and am not perfect how do you expect me to understand that message of yours"

She was on the verge of bursting with anger,she knew what he did was wrong but right now that she was reminiscing it she realized that he really treated her like she was some sort of a doll,scratch that dolls are important so he really treated her like she was some sort of an unimportant thing.

"I want to show you something,please follow me":he said and she rolled her eyes turning back to her work.

"Farrah please":he pleaded.

She turned to look into his eyes,after all she is good at reading the sincerity of a person through his eyes and today when she took a closer look into Dr Walid's eyes,she saw nothing but pain which she have no clue about,she have always seen anger in his eyes,confidence and rudeness in his eyes but today this pain in his eyes made her feel like she have failed in really studying people when it comes to eyes.

Because those eyes right now says the total opposite of what she have been thinking all this while.

"After you":She said without second thought.

He gave her the most brightest smile he can ever come up with which made her also smile.

She needed to know why he didn't come,maybe after knowing she will find peace with herself because it has been bugging her for a while now and it is really time she let it slide but that will be after knowing his reason.

They reached the car and entered and both of them were very quite,had it been with Mubin then definitely the car ride would have been so amazing,he would try to annoy her and she will have a better comeback for him but now it is so boring because it is Dr Walid.

"Why am I even comparing both of them?":She asked herself slowly and silence was her answer.

No matter how talkative she is,she only talks with people she is free with and moreover she likes Dr Walid so she needs to act calm in-front of him even though she believes in the fact that you should always be yourself but she still thinks she needs time before she shows Dr Walid her crazy side.
