0°F - A point where it's freezing cold

• • •

The next day, Bakugou woke up and went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. He felt quite bothered by the empty presence of Midoriya since the robot usually wakes up before him and prepares the breakfast.

"Weird...did he oversleep?" He muttered and knocked on the other male's door. Nothing was the response so Bakugou barged in anyway and paled at the sight before him. The damn robot was stone frozen, literally. A very pale blue washed over his face as his entire body didn't budge one bit.

"OI! DEKU!" The blond rushed over to him in a panic. "Fuck, you stupid nerd!" He realized how freezing cold Midoriya's skin felt and immediately carried him outside and ran to one of the most prominent laboratories in which the robot was made in.

"HEY! I need to see the pink-haired weirdo!" Bakugou slammed his fist against the reception desk as he held Midoriya over his shoulder with the other.

"U-Uhm...pink-haired weirdo? Do you mean Ms. Hatsume?" The woman stuttered, flustered at the sight of the pro-hero.

"Yes her, whatever. SEND ME TO HER!" He said aloud and the woman cringed on her seat before standing up stiffly and leading them inside the laboratory. She stopped in front of two grand metal door and winced when she heard a boom.

"Be careful, she usually does experiments and it becomes chaotic." She left a warning before leaving. Bakugou didn't give a damn and kicked the doors open, only to have smoke protrude into his nose. He coughed violently which startled the female inside the room.

"O-Oh, hello! It's been a long time since someone has entered to meet me! Well then, are you here to check out some of my babies?" Hatsume gleefully smiled as her hand waved towards a table full of metallic junk that Bakugou didn't care about.

"No." He roughly replied. "I need you to fix him." Bakugou placed Midoriya onto a metallic table in front of him. Hatsume's eyes gleamed.

"Ah, I remember him. Or should I say, it?" She touched his wrist in wonder. "Oh! How very cold he is...he must have forgotten to charge. Weird...robots like him are automatically designed to charge themselves every day at night. How come he defied the system?" She quirked a brow in interest.

The blond frowned. "He defied the system? Aren't robots supposed to do as they say? How come he rebelled?"

"Well, we are about to find out." She smirked. "It will take a few minutes, just wait outside. Unless you want to see the structure of a robot?"

"Tch, no thanks." He left with his heart heavy in concern. If Deku really defied the system then doesn't that mean he has an error? What could have caused an error? He has been doing his job properly these days...could it be...?

"Alright, he is good to go home. I just charged him for a while but he will need to charge longer at home." Hatsume came out, brushing her lab coat with her dusty gloves. "I also scanned his system and..." Bakugou raised a brow. "There is an error. Just a minor one though, I am sure it doesn't cause too much harm as long as he doesn't dwell on it for too long."

"What is the error?"

"Pfft, oh come on. You already know, I can tell from your eyes." She giggled. "And since you know, you should know what to do from now on." Her smile faded. "Robots having emotions is unheard of and dangerous. I suggest you to not harbor any useless feelings and the same goes for him." She goes back in and Bakugou follows suit, his eyes hooded in sorrow.

"You don't know that." He whispers and cradles Midoriya in his arms gently. "How would you know if he is dangerous or not? Deku would never harm others, even if he is a robot."

He left, biting his bottom lip hard in order to distract himself. The pain was better than empty tears that did nothing after all.

...

"...Kacchan?" The green-head stirred on his bed. His eyes opened to see Bakugou next to him, his head on his arms as he slept while sitting next to him. The robot couldn't help but stare at the man before him. It was beautiful, how the afternoon sunlight shined half his hair and how dust flew around him to appreciate the warmth.

"Kacchan..." The robot smiled, a comfortable warmth pooling his heart as he stroked the spiky yet soft blond hair. Bakugou suddenly mumbled something, causing Midoriya to jump. His mechanical heart pounded in turmoil as he gulped at the sight of Bakugou slowly awakening.

"Deku?" He rubbed his eyes a bit before sitting up in slight confusion. "You are awake...YOU IDIOT!" Midoriya jolted at the sudden holler and backed away a bit when the blond raised his hand to slap his shoulder. His fearful face apparently didn't stop him from slapping him so he just sighed and took the small beating.

"Sorry...I forgot to charge." Midoriya mumbled an apology. His heartbeat went back to normal as he glanced at Bakugou multiple times. "I won't forget again so please don't hit me!" The green-head pouted and used his trump card, the puppy eyes. He learned that from many girls that roamed around the busy streets with their boyfriend. It was quite effective.

"Ugh...fine," Bakugou growled at the sight and averted his eyes. "Just go to sleep already and make sure you are charged completely. We need to go back to work tomorrow."

Midoriya nodded and laid back on the bed. However, his stomach grumbled before Bakugou went back to sleep. "Haha...looks like you need to cook for me..." The robot laughed in embarrassment while blushing a bit.

"Hmm...so you do know when to feel awkward," Bakugou smirked and went to the kitchen to make grilled cheese sandwiches.

Meanwhile, Midoriya slowly dozed off while pondering about the feelings he felt today. The strange emotions were growing stronger and seemed more evident than before. He needs to control himself somehow.

So his dear Kacchan won't notice and send him back to the laboratory ever again.
