A change of Heart

Shigure's POV
I was currently walking to the main house to see Hatori. "What are your doing here Shigure" asked Hatori in a dull voice. "Come one Haa-San you could be at least a little bit excited to see me." I said while walking into his office.

"You still didn't answer me, What are you doing here?". I quickly told Hatori everything that happened from this morning, and everything Kira told me. "So Kyo has a daughter" said Hatori

"Yes" I said "And I want you to help me find Tohru. For Kyo's sake, and Kira's" "I'll do it" said Hatori, "Tohru was a sweet girl to me, so I'll return the favor. I'll get in contact with the police and I'll call you when we find her". Then he left the room to probably make some phone calls.

I left Hatori's office and went to go visit Ayame.

Kira's POV
After Shigure left to go to this Hatori person, Yuki came back from upstairs and told me my room is ready and that it's on the far right. I said thank you to him, and then I went upstairs. I went into the room, and I was amazed.

This room is so big I thought And its all mine. I decided to change my clothes because it started to smell, but when I opened my bag I realized that I didn't pack any clothes. How could I be so stupid I thought. Ughh now I have to ask them for some clothes.

I ran out the room, and bumped right into someone. I thought it might be Yuki but I was wrong; it was Kyo. "What are you still doing here" he said angrily. "Your cousin Shigure said I could stay her for awhile" I said with the same tone he gave me. I get that he's my father and all, but I'm not going to let him push me around.

He looked surprised after I said that, but then he just walked away with a snarl in his face. Then I remembered the whole reason why I went out of my room. I went downstairs to find Yuki, and I saw him watching some TV. "Yuki" I said. "Yea" "Do you have some clothes I can borrow." "Um....I'm pretty sure I gave all my old clothes to Hiro, but I'm sure Kyo still has some of his. I'll get it for you right now" he said while getting up and going into Kyo's room.

When he left I practically leaped with joy. Amanda told me that she wore her dads clothes all the time at home, even if it was a bit big on her. She said it made her feel nice and fuzzy on the inside. I've always wanted the experience that feeling, but I've never got the chance to do it.

A few minutes later he came down with a small white shirt, with a green hoodie, and a pair of brown shorts. I quickly go into my room and put it on. When I come out I look like this.

I go out of my new room, and back into the
living room. I didn't feel that same feeling Amanda explained to me, but it was close enough. I noticed the front door open, and I see Shigure walk into the house. When he saw me he started giggling. "What's so funny" I ask while pouting. "It's nothing Kira, you just look so adorable in that." He said in between laughs. I kept pouting while I went outside to get some fresh air.

While I was outside I notice a patch of orange hair on the roof. I move farther back to get a better look, and I see that it's Kyo. What is he doing up there I though. I looked around and saw a latter, and climbed up it. Then I went on my knees and started crawling towards Kyo.

Kyo's POV

I hear faint noise, and I turn my head to the right to see that annoying girl. "What are you doing up here" I said annoyed. "I wanted to know what you were doing." She said with a smile. And let me tell you; that was the most cutest thing I've ever seen, and I rarely think things are cute or adorable. I snap out of my though when I felt a small hand pulling on my sleeve. "What is it" I ask trying not to sound as mean as I was before. "Do you hate me" she asks. I was dumbfounded by what she just asked me.

Did I really become so hateful that I made a small little girl like her think that. I guess she took my silence as an answer because she then started crying while saying, "I knew it... you do hate me." "Wait....no I don't, ughh come on little girl stop crying. I'll do anything, just please stop." She immediately stopped crying, and a small smirk formed on her face. Wait that little brat was faking the whole thing I thought And I said I'd do anything to make her stop. She opened her mouth, and I gulped thinking about the horrific thing she'd make me do.

"I want you to become my friend." "Huh" I said out loud. "In my town; I don't really have many friends, only one named Amanda. They all call me a loser and a freak for not having a father. It was only my mother and me, but then she got kidnapped by a gang." She started to tear up, and this time they were real tears. As if on instinct I pulled her into a hug, and said, "Let it out, let out all the bottled up sadness in your heart" and she listened.

I'm not really sure why, but whenever I see this little girl; she makes me want to protect her with my life. She reminded me of her. Tohru would always bottle up her emotions, and always kept a smile on her face. She didn't want other people to know what she was feeling. Soon she stopped crying, and she thanked me for giving her that embrace.

Kira's POV

"Hey little girl, what's your name" "It's Kira" I said. "Well Kira, you kinda remind me of an old friend, and myself." He said, and I looked at him confused and He told me, "When I was little I was never excepted, just like you I only had a few friends. My mother decided to kill herself, and my father hated me. I lived with my master my whole life, until I came here and met her." He must be talking about mom I thought.

"My whole life turned a whole 360, and she turned me into a better person. You said your mother was kidnapped right?" I nodded and he said, "Well don't worry because I'll help you find her." My eyes lit up and I said, "Well you don't have to worry about doing it by yourself because as soon as we find my mom's location, I'm going right to that place and kicking all their butts."

I heard Kyo giggle and I asked him what was wrong. "It's nothing" he said "But can you even fight" "Of course" I said "I even know some karate... um like the.... right handed jab" I said while taking my right hand and punching his arm with it. He started to laugh even harder and said, "That was horrible." "Well don't laugh at me" I said while pouting. "Alright I'm sorry, and to make up for it I'll teach you some real karate. Not this horrible one." My eyes sparkled and I quickly agreed.

Then we started talking about all kinds of things, then Kyo said, "I noticed you were wearing some of my old clothes, is there any particular reason." I blushed from embarrassment and said, "I'm sorry, when I came here I forgot to bring my own clothes so Yuki gave me some of yours." "Are you mad?" I ask. "Don't worry Kira" he said "I'm not mad, but you can't be wearing boys clothes while you're here. So tomorrow I'll take you shopping."

"Alright" I said. Then I realized that it was late, and that I should get to bed. "Goodnight Kyo" I said before leaving the roof. He said Goodnight back and I then retreated to my room and instantly fell asleep.
