Tanjiro didn't know why-- maybe it was because he still liked Zentisu to some degree-- or maybe it was because he felt sympathy for Zentisu-- no, he's just coming up with excuses to explain the fact that he still continued to sob even after finding someone that truely cares for him.

God, how pathetic was he?

He bursts through his door, desperately dialing Muzan's number on his phone, with his back pressed against the door. He just couldn't stop sobbing, crying-- Muzan picked up. "Mu-- Muzan-- please, please... can-- can y-you just c-- come to my h-- house...?"

"What's wrong, Tanjiro?" Muzan asked, he could hear the clear hurt in his voice.

If it were Tanjiro who recived the call, he probably wouldn't have been able to even make out a single word. The sentence was accompanied with loud hiccups and stutters.

Muzan only bites his lips and makes a U-turn on his car. "That's okay, I'm coming to your house right now... okay?" He says in the smoothest, and calming voice he could muster. Out of his peripheral vision, he could see the water drop that landed on the corner of his window.

It was... raining.

Soon enough, it started to rain heavily. Muzan turned on his windshield wipers and tried his best to drive through it.

Tanjiro on the other hand slowly walked to his window, laying a hand on it. Fucking god, it was so cold-- and raining again... Again. So much times-- Tanjiro just couldn't understand why it was raining so hard...

This was the sight he seemed to hate so much-- and just when it seemed like the sunlight was finally back, it rained again... It just seemed to make Tanjiro hate the rain even more. God, He feels so close to giving up...

What was the point?

If the world was just going to rain forever without any sunlight, maybe it was better for him to just leave.

Tanjiro slowly makes his way over to his kitchen, but only makes half way there before he slides down onto his knees in defeat. Could he really kill himself? Wouldn't that break Muzan's heart to find him bleeding out?

How selfish would that be? But...

Tanjiro just doesn't know anymore. He turns around to stare out the window; so-- so close to giving up...

After all that begging just for a little amount of sunlight just didn't seem worth it to Tanjiro. It can't be worth it... why can't he just enjoy the sunlight and the rain like a normal person?

Instead of acknowledging his sobs and cries and listening to it, the rain just seemed to keep pouring.

It just didn't seem to stop.

Muzan pushes through the door, soaking wet from the rain. He finds Tanjiro on the floor, and just quickly pulls him into his embrace. Oh, but even though his clothes were drenched-- He's so much warmer than Tanjiro expected-- so much warmer than Zentisu.

Tanjiro buries himself in Muzan's shoulder, clinging onto his arm. "I'm sorry... you had to come back for me." He says, still dazed and staring dully out his window.

Muzan only hugs Tanjiro. "It's okay, Tanjiro. I said it was okay, you didn't have to apologize for it." He tries his very best to warm Tanjiro up, because, he knew, he knew that Tanjiro never liked the cold.

It was just then, when Tanjiro notices the sun peaking out from the clouds-- showing him the pretty blue sky. Tanjiro's eye widened in shock, mesmerised, by the pretty sight. HIs breath hitches.

His eye water-- and his grasp on Muzan's sleeve only tightens.

It showed him a rainbow-- something he'd never thought he'd see, ever.

Muzan keeps Tanjiro warm in his embrace, and with the light, Tanjiro almost wanted to burst out in sobs. He buries himself deeper in Muzan's grasp, softly letting the tears flow.

The sunlight had reached him in time.

Or, reached them both.

Oh, I hoped you enjoyed this book!

Special Thank You to @Selicrafter05 for staying with my creation of the story! Like seriously! They're everywhere but just don't show it... Jesus Christ! I swear to god, they've probably voted on all my, Muzan x Tanjiro book because I only have two... and uhhhhh-- Thanks! You should comment more, just a suggestion because I adore comments!

The video above, is what I have listened to for fucking every single chapter I've wrote. Omg, I am ready to give the song a break-- I mean, I like it, but it's just-- so goddamn sickening to listen to it anymore. It's kind of like when you only eat chocolate, it gets kind of sickening.

Lmaoo I have to talk about my insipration! Credits to an ad! Well-- it was from Nature Valley. I was on youtube, browsing-- and I heard the words something along the lines of-- "Have you ever noticed how much brighter the sun shines after a heavy rain--" Sounds familiar? YeAh, the description of the story-- I mean like-- hA.

That's always fun.
