"Jaden?" I ask in confusion.

"Um no." The handsome boy answers, "but I'm his brother, Jason."

"Oh. Hi Jason." I smile sweetly, "I'm Lainey."

"I know princess." He informs, "how about I take you for a walk."

Hermes. Hermes. Hermes. Hermes. Hermes. Hermes. Hermes. Hermes.

Think Lainey, "I actually have to go meet Hermes."

"Ah." He breathes with disappointment on his face, "it's true then?"

"What?"

"You and Hermes." He states, "you're a thing?"

"Yeah." I nod, sticking my hands in my back pocket.

I hear Percy calling me again and I quickly turn to leave, "sorry, I gotta go."

"Wait," Jason calls, "will I see you again sometime?"

"Um." I mumble, "sure."

I ran through the palace and slammed right into somebody. When I looked up from the floor, I saw a beautiful woman with dark hair and grey eyes. She helped me up and I smiled, "hi Athena."

"Hello Lainey, are you okay dear?" She asked worriedly.

"Percy and I just got in a fight." I look down.

As if on cue, Percy stopped in front of me, leaning over panting. I feel the blood get hot in my face, "leave me alone Percy."

Percy was still panting, "she... left... in-"

"Percy stop." Athena commands, "catch your breath. Lainey?"

"I wasn't doing something right in training,  Percy snapped at me and made me feel bad. He brought my love life into it, which, Percy, had nothing to do with this. So we argued and I just walked away. And he keeps following me." I explain.

"May I ask why you walked away?" She asks.

"I just needed to cool off."

"Oh." Percy cocks his head to the side, "you need to cool off?"

He formed a ball of water, just like in training today, but he throws it at my face.

Then I got mad.

I felt my eyes widen, my teeth clenched,  and my veins surged with energy. I formed a massive sphere of water and throw it at Percy, knocking him off of his feet. From the ground, soaking wet, he looks up at me, "that was it."

"No Percy." I say harshly, "just leave me alone."

He jumps up and grabs my arms, "that's exactly it. You did it Lainey."

"You hurt me today Percy." I pull away from him and run down the hallway, but he followed me. I wanted to make it to my room, but he wouldn't give up so I stopped in front of Hermes's door. I open it and slam it shut behind me. I hear Percy's frustrated groan, "I see how that works, you leave your brother and run crying to your boyfriend."

I hit the door really hard and press my back to it, sinking to sit and hug my knees, "ughhh."

Hermes just looks at me, "you okay babe?"

"Do I look okay?" I snap, a bit harsher than intended. I sigh, "I'm sorry. I just have had a rough day."

He stands over me, taking my hands, and pulling me up. Once I'm steady, he holds my hips, "you wanna talk about it?"

"Not really." I pout.

"Oh."

"I'll tell you later, I just want a shower, I'm soaked. And I want a nap." I whine.

"You don't want anything else?" He asks slowly.

"A coffee." I state.

He facial expression went to a 'are you for real right now' look. I giggle a little, "just kidding. I want to kiss my hot boyfriend."

"Who is he? I'll kill him." He plays along.

I keep going, enjoying the game, "his name is Hermes. He's about 6'1. He has long curly blonde hair, and hypnotic blue eyes. He's really hot. Funny too, and sweet, and strong, and guess what?!"

"What?!" He asks excitedly.

"He has a six pack."

"You've seen him shirtless?" He gasps, "as much as I want to be mad, he sounds irresistible. I'd probably like him too."

"Well too bad because he's mine." I whisper next to his lips, "kiss me."

He did as I said and I laughed a little, "okay, I'm getting a shower."

"Can I come?"

"No!"

"Please?" He pouts.

"When I'm dead." I call over my shoulder.

"You're immortal!" He yells, "you don't die."

"Exactly."
