<<Day 1 of Match-Making Ijekiel and Jennette: Late Afternoon inside the Greenhouse>>>
During the late afternoon, Ijekiel and Jennette strolled along an aisle surrounded by the lush, verdant plants inside Alpheus's Greenhouse. Ijekiel was standing three feet in front of Jennette and surveying the greenhouse plants.
Jennette's POV:
It has been a while since Ijekiel and I strolled around the garden. I miss those times. I still feel awkward whenever I am with Ijekiel. It's my fault that I hurt him when I told him before that the princess will never reciprocate her feelings to him, and that she has a special relationship with that wizard. (sighs). I wish I could turn back time and never say such words. I was so conceited and selfish because I didn't think of Ijekiel's feelings. My heart felt tainted with jealousy because he wouldn't look at me.
I gazed deeply at the buds of the Echium flowers to distract myself from thinking about Ijekiel.
Whenever I read fairy-tale books, I always envisioned myself as a princess and Ijekiel as my prince. They say that princesses always get their happy endings, but I am no princess. I am just a pathetic girl with a one-sided love. Is love suppose to be sweet when it hurts so much to love Ijekiel? What is true love anyways? My life has been a lie for the past eighteen years.
(sighs). I think I am destined to be forever alone.
Third Person POV:
Poof!
Athanasia and Lucas appeared at the greenhouse and were hiding behind the plants, while secretly observing Jennette and Ijekiel.
"Oh, they are hanging out together at the greenhouse. Perfect timing!" Athansia whispered.
"Hmmm...." Lucas pondered.
"What are you thinking about, Lucas? "
"I think their relationship is much worse than expected. Look how far they are standing! I used to see them stuck close together like glue when they were kids back then, "Lucas commented. He furrowed his brow at the peculiar scene. After all, he did recall spying together with Athanasia on the white doggy and chimera hugging each other when they were kids back then.
"..... I can see that, Lucas. Ijekiel isn't even making eye contact with her. "
"....Yeah."
"Hey, Lucas"
"What?"
"Can I go first?" Athanasia asked eagerly.
"Ok, it was your plan after all. " he replied, while grinning.
"I got this, Lucas! I think I can do it! I have been practicing this spell for the past week. "
"Wow, it took you a week for such an easy spell?" he looked at her smugly.
"Shut up, Lucas, the most powerful, genius, and arrogant wizard in the world. I am not a genius in magic like you. I am still an amateur. You should spend more time teaching me magic instead of flirting with me all the time, " she retorted him.
".....Alright, go ahead. Hurry up before you miss this opportunity. "
Once Athanasia was able to concentrate and empty her mind of distractions, she closed her eyes and channeled a light wave of mana into her finger tips and directed it towards Jennette's ankle. A ringlet of glimmering blue magic unseen to the human eye encircled around Jennette's ankle, causing her to lose balance.
Ijekiel was just about to check on Jennette and turned his head back when he caught at the corner of his eye that Jennette was about to fall down.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!" screamed Jennette.
