I learned that once sin entered the atmosphere, this world became more difficult to control. Man began to feel the effects of the ever-present spiritual war that we are all tangled in. Truthfully, man is losing this war. It's hard to win a fight with something you don't accept or know.
Thanks to sin, many things have changed. The most significant change is our ability to think for ourselves. Scripture warns us of the manipulation we deal with day-to-day.
Some surprising and untaught facts are as follows. Vegetation is the prescribed diet for both humans and all animals. That's right, lions, tigers, and bears have initially been eating grass, fruits, and vegetables.
Every animal we know today as carnivores weren't by their actual design. Sin changed them as it changed us. Diet isn't the only change, but it's an uncommonly taught one.
Both humans and animals began eating meat after the flood. Many rationalize this because the world lost many nutritious plants because of the flood. It's interesting to think about, to say in the least.
I, for one, am guilty of not eating a plant-based diet. It makes sense why we should. Plants gather the nutrients from the soil, and we regain the nutrients by eating the plants. Yahweh used the earth to create our outer shells, and we must eat of its nutrients to prosper.
Everything we do is contrary to its original design. I do know one thing; violence is a wicked act upon the earth. It wouldn't exist if it weren't for sin. Violence wouldn't exist in the animal kingdom either. We are all in danger of those who practice violence.
Looking at how humans manage the animal kingdom now, I'd say that we control it to a point. When a dangerous animal no longer fears us, we kill it. In all honesty, I feel like humans are the ones that need more control. Murder and cruelty are displayed through us more than any other earthly creature.
Don't misunderstand. We need more self-control. Not by force or police control. The only thing that can teach us self control on this level is scripture.
I could go on for pages about how we are not taking care of this world the proper way. We trash it, abuse it, and misuse it. Just like everything else, we as a race, enslave it.
The ironic part is that we are being enslaved at the same time by rebel angels. They do this by manipulating our flesh. They use us to destroy ourselves in every way.
Ask yourself, are we really on top? Are we the most powerful beings on the planet? I say no.
Power isn't necessarily about strength either. We most definitely are not the wisest in all creation. Spiritually we are not the strongest either. It's hard to have power in a realm most don't even accept or acknowledge.
Alien enthusiasts are right to a point. We are not alone in this universe. We are dealing with beings from a spiritual realm who are foreign to our planet and knowledge.
Scripture speaks about angels assigned to us for reporting. Each one of us has one that reports to Yahweh on our behalf. They've been watching us since birth.
I always knew a spirit hung around me. I would hear it walking around me in my rebellion. I thought I was being haunted.
I think I made it mad one time because it did slam something across the room. I was doing something wicked at the time. Most of the time, it just walked around the room while I wasn't doing anything particular.
One scary time I was having a nightmare about death chasing me. I was running through a series of doors and slamming them behind me, but death just went through them. I awoke feeling an invisible body on top of mine. I couldn't move for a good twenty seconds before it lifted off of me.
I heard these footsteps twice after that. Both were when I was pregnant, and I was napping-hearing the steps woke me up. I listened to my soul to see if I was in danger.
When I didn't get any warning from my spirit, I want back to sleep. When I learned that Yahshua knits babies in the womb, I anticipated the steps. They never came. I was going to talk to Him, and He knew that. We are surrounded by spirits all the time.
Not to mention the fallen angels on earth who cause mischief. They, too, serve a purpose in our lives. Both groups are spirit beings from the heavens. Neither live here. They do, however, frequently visit earth.
Sometimes I try to imagine what this world would be like if we still possessed our immortality. I conclude that we would inevitably destroy this planet and everything in it. We are well on our way now.
I shudder at the thought of wickedness lasting that long. I wouldn't want to be here if that was a possibility; that's for sure. Endless misery is not appealing to me.
Thankfully we do die. This statement may confuse you. Why would I be happy that we perish?
Just like everything else, scripture explains death. So I do not fear death. I am no longer saddened by it anymore. It all ties in with the connection we share with Yahweh.
The first death is what we all witness. The Bible explains that when we die physically, our souls sleep. Like a pause, so to say. We will stay like this until either the return of the Messiah or judgment day.
We die physically to end the use of our souls until that time temporarily. It's a brief way to pause our connection with the Almighty. Souls are neither immortalized or destroyed with the first death. Now the second death is the more concerning one.
The second death happens after judgment day. The second death gives Yahweh a way to destroy His connection with an individual permanently. The hell doctrine we hear preached is not in the Bible. What is in scripture is the lake of fire.
This lake is the only way a soul can be destroyed. The lake of fire was created exclusively for the devil and his followers, but others will end up in it as well. Know that they made their choice. The devil's ministers and followers will share in his fate.
If you are wondering why Yahweh would want this, I will explain. The influence of rebellious angels corrupts this world. They seduce creation into perversion.
Perversion disgusts the Almighty. The lake of fire is the only way Yahweh disconnects with a spirit. It's a fire that continually burns; there are no survivors.
But wait, is Yahweh willing for anyone to be destroyed just like that? The answer is no. One thing I learned about Yahweh is that He always gives a person a chance to repent.
My own life proves this. I made a choice, and so did the people recorded in the Bible. We are all presented with this choice. Yahweh is faithful in allowing a person to choose.
The only souls who die the first death without any understanding or warning are children. Children die innocently, but this is a blessing. Yahweh's grand plan includes the children who die in this world. They will have their chance to live and to choose their position during the kingdom portion of Yahweh's plan.
Speaking of judgment, this brings out another point about death. When our soul sleep ends, our resurrection has two possibilities. The first possibility is the first resurrection. This resurrection is the one you want. This resurrection is the one I want.
Those who contribute to and die for Yahweh's plan will be in this resurrection. They have no worries about judgment day. Nothing they did or said will count against them.
Honor follows Yahshua's return. The saints will change into angelic male beings at His arrival, and they will rule alongside the Messiah in the coming kingdom. This kingdom appears before judgment day.
The second resurrection isn't necessarily a death sentence. Yahweh tells us that judgment awaits those in the second resurrection. I don't want to be in this resurrection. Our actions and words will hurt us in this resurrection.
I feel comfortable moving on to the next subject. I've explained what I learned about death to the best of my ability, according to scripture. Now let's get to the topic I've always wrestled with: the devil.
