ELIZABETH POV
Elizabeth: "Huh?"
Ms. Larsen: " I asked if you were feeling okay, Elizabeth." She asked.
Elizabeth: "Oh yeah, I'm fine Ms. Larsen."
Ms. Larsen: "Are you sure? You seem a little out of it."
Elizabeth: "No, I'm fine. I'm just a little tired, that's all."
I heard Helen behind me whispering something to her cronies and then laughing. Probably gossiping about me.
Ms. Larsen: "Alright. As I was saying gothic literature is characterize by the intrigue and mystery surrounding the unknown. Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein" is a great example of-"
I blocked her out. I wasn't tired, I was thinking. Thinking about what happened last night.
FLASHBACK
Y/N: "You okay El?" He asked with genuine concern, his hands on my shoulders.
Elizabeth: "Yeah, I'm... I'm fine." I said, stunned. I had never seen him look that worried before. Plus he called me El.
Y/N: "No, you're not. Why did I even ask? You have a shard of glass in your shoulder, you're clearly not okay. That was a stupid question. Let's just go back and get you patched up, okay?"
Elizabeth: "O-ok." I nodded.
He opened a portal in front of us and ushered me in. I stepped through and into a bedroom. He quickly followed and headed towards a dresser in the corner of the room.
Y/N: "Lie down on your stomach please." He demanded. "Get comfy, I'll be with you in a second." His Shadow costume disappeared, leaving a stressed looking teen in a baggy t-shirt and jeans.
I complied, lying down and getting as comfortable as I could. He rushes over with a first aid kit and pulls a chair up next the bed, which he sits in.
Y/N: "I need you to know that everything I'm about to do is strictly medical, so you can't get mad at me."
Elizabeth: "What?"
Y/N: "What I'm about to do is medical procedure. I'm not doing it for myself or anything else, I'm doing it for your safety."
Elizabeth: "Look, I don't care what you do, just get this glass shard out of my back."
He sighs
Y/N: "Alright, I'm going to cut your shirt of now."
Elizabeth: "YOU'RE GOING TO WHAT!" I yell, quickly getting up. "WHY?"
Y/N: "Hey, there's no need to yell, calm down. It's so I don't disturb the entry wound. It strictly medical, okay?" He assured. "So just lie back down and relax, don't make this difficult."
I sighed and lied back down on my stomach.
Elizabeth: "You better not do anything weird." I blushed
He sighed and began to cut. He cut of the back of my shirt and stopped.
Y/N: "I'm going to inject a local anesthetic, okay?"
Elizabeth: "Just hurry up and get it over with."
I felt a slight prick and then nothing.
Y/N: "Alright, the glass is coming out."
I felt a little bit of pain as he pulled it out, but it wasn't horrible. He then pulled out a needle and thread and sutured up the wound. He then put some disinfectant stuff on the wound and covered it with bandage. He also bandaged up my leg wound. When all was said and done he gave me one of his shirts and portaled me home.
FLASHBACK END
Elizabeth: 'Why did he call me El? Is he going to want his shirt back or can I keep it? Why was he so worried? And where did he learn all that medical stuff?'
The bell rang, bringing me back to the land of the living. I grabbed my stuff and went to leave the room. As I stepped into the aisle between desk one of Helens little gremlins pushed me out of the way and into a desk. Helen and her group of friends giggled.
Helen Crony #1:"Oops, sorry. I didn't see you there." She said, clearly not sorry.
I sighed and just walked past them and into the hallway heading towards the lunch room. I spotted Y/N heading the same way and caught up to him.
Elizabeth: "Hey, wait up."
Y/N: "What is it Elizabeth?"
Elizabeth: "Can I ask you something?"
Y/N: "Sure, go ahead." He said as he stepped into the lunchroom.
Elizabeth: "So about last night-"
Y/N suddenly grabbed me and moved me to his right, making milk splatter and a milk carton barely miss me.
Helen: "Oopsie, I was aiming for the trash can. Sorry about that" She giggled.
I sighed and was about to leave the lunch room to eat elsewhere when Y/N stepped forward.
Y/N: "What happened to you, Helen?"
Helen: "Excuse me?"
Y/N: "I said what happened to you. You've changed so much since we were younger, and not for the better. "
Helen: "I'm sorry, are you lecturing me?"
Y/N: "No Helen, I'm talking to you. And I'm telling you that you aren't the person you used to be. You used to be a tolerable person to be around. Now you're just a like a dead animal, drawing in flies and polluting the air around you with your stink. I kind of feel sorry for you, because you still believe that all that money your family has will amount to something. You still think that the world owes you. Well, see how far daddy's money gets you, princess. You can spend every little penny, but I promise you I'll be there when it runs out so I can watch you realize how small and insignificant you really are. Until then, I hope to god that someone snaps you out of this delusion."
Helen tried to protest but Y/N and I were already walking away. He pulled me towards a table occupied by a boy with black hair & yellow headphones and a girl with long brown hair wearing all black. He sat down and motioned for me to sit down next to him. I sat down and Y/N started talking.
Y/N: "Hey guys, I want you to meet a new friend of mine. This is Elizabeth. Elizabeth, meet my friends Thomas and Ali."
