Chapter Four

I sigh as I escape the claustrophobic space. I hated questions. They're just too ...personal. No one needs to know anything about me. I just need to keep up the act and I'll have a comfy bed, food that won't be hard to find and... a really comfy body pillow.

Just as I thought of Jay I heard a voice behind me.

"Ally are you okay?"

It was said in an urgent tone. But the enotion that just washed through me from an event that happened long ago. Ally. Someone used to call me that... I just. Don't remem-

"Alex! Alex are you okay?"

My vision was blurry and I was somehow on the floor in jays arms.

"Hmm my head hurts" I muttered quietly. Honestly I wasn't expecting him to hear that, but I was proved wrong when he lifted me up in one of those 'bridal carry' things.

"You're going to have a nap Alex, this is probably a bit intense for you." He spoke in a soft gental voice.

I was about to protest before I realised how warm it was, it was so comfortable, if I just closed my eyes for a bit. I won't fall asleep, I won't... I won't.

I woke up again in the familiar heat from earlier. I was assuming I was in Jays arms again. However just as I woke up the heat left me. Still in a short daze, I reached out to nowhere in particular. I wanted Jay I needed Jay, it hurts, help! Jamie where are you!

I sat up so suddenly I cracked my back. Leaning in pain I groan as my head begins to throb. My precious dream-Nightmare? Was escaping, I didn't want it to go, wait.

I was hyperventilating, when Jay suddenly came through the door, carrying a plate of eggs and toast.

I immediately stop, starring at his smile and giving a small smile in response.

"Sorry we don't have any bacon"

I smile again, yawning. It was strange how hungry i was feeling.

"H-How long was I asleep?"

Jay frowned and looked at the floor.

"It's uh been almost a full day since you I guess uh fainted?"

My eyes widened.  The whole day? Really? How? Why?

"That m-makes no sence, h-how wo-would something like that happen?"

He sighed sitting next to me holding my hand making me blush slightly. 

"We have no idea. I asked one of the doctors we have and he said it was probably due to stress?"

I looked at me thinking for a while.

" Hey... did you faint because I called you ****?"

I frowned "w-what did you say?"

He looked at me confused

"**** I called you **** and I'm pretty sure it's the reason you fainted... I mean you had no other sym-"

"What?"

We stare at each other for a while

"I can hear w-what you're s-saying"

He looked even more confused and so did I

"Well what did you hear?"

"Uh I t-think something like, did you f-faint because I called y-you. And I called you and I'm pretty s-sure bla bla bla.

He looked at me again "okay so I'm going to say a word and you have to tell me if you hear it. Look at my mouth to see if my mouth is moving, and nod if you can hear it"

I nod

"Pinapple"

I nod and chuckle a bit.

"****"

He was quiet for a while I tilted my head slightly confused.

"****"

That's when I noticed something, his mouth what moving.

"W-wait! Say it again! I can't hear it."

Jay looked worried

"Um ****"

My eyes were wide I couldn't hear it, what what the word... and like a light balb I'll it up I looked around

"Find a pen and paper and write it down!"

He nodded and cane back with somesrap and a pencil.

I looked down after he wrote something down.

'Hi Alex I called you **** that's what I was worried about'

I looked at the sentence again, I could tell there was a word there but I couldn't read it, it was all blurred out and hazzy. I looked at him in disbelif

"What can you read?"

I was Silent  "I... I can see that it says h-hi Alex I called y-you that's what I was w-worried about."
He looked at me and I looked at him. He came beside me under the covers making me forget about the confusing word that I can't see or hear.

"It's alright Alex, it wasn't that important. We'll find why this had happened but just for the neantime I want you to rest."

I panic a little don't lea-

"I'll stay with you if you want."

I nod slightly, lying down best to him as he grabbed my hand and squeezed it. A comforting gesture.

It's okay, I'm okay, Jamies with me. He will keep me safe.

Don't cry Ally, I'll be with you forever, no matter how far I need to travel. I promise.
