Chapter Seven

Chapter 7:

I'd been a while since I woke up from my 15 minute nap, we were in the process of going to other shops to get other products. I was in Jays arms one hand on my big and the other on my waist, varying me, my arms caged around his neck. He knew I was awake, yet didn't set me down, I didn't let him know either, who turns down comfortable transport, so I don't have to walk. I hadn't even looked up to confirm my suspicion of it being Jay. He just has that presence as well as a familiar smell. All numbers have increased strength, hearing and sence of smell.

I sigh slightly lifting my head and rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. Jay looked at me smiling.

"Have a good sleep?"

I nod slightly looking around we were walking slowly together the others looking around.

"How long h-have I been asleep?"

He puts me down still holding my hand to steady me.

"Only about an hour."

" Oh, w-what are we d-doing now?"

He looks at me apologetically.

"We are not heading back to base yet, as we still need more supplies but it won't take long."

I nod slightly, tensing when he squeezes My hand. I look down, I like this.

We enter multiple shops taking everything we could find and fit into our four large backpacks. Roman got a lot of chocolate. As when I was looking at him he was eyeing the chocolate like he wanted sex with it or something.

Lilly was glancing at me repeatedly, as though she was conflicted. I'm starting to think Lilly might have seen me.

Ya know kill that zombie, I probably looked a tad crazy. I think I was smiling. Maybe that's why she's so frightened. I say this because of her behaviour ever since we came back.

She's been avoiding looking at my eyes and kind of has this conflicted look whenever she loses focus. She's probably contemplating if she should tell Jay about the fact that I'm acting. Which makes me think, did she see me use my powers? Or just the imploding of the zombies head.

Just imagining zombies makes me miss killing. Although it's a lot more satisfying to kill normal humans-

I was interrupted as I heard that magnificent sound, it must have been outside, as even with my number hearing it was faint. I descreetly leave the store, climbing on the roof and looking over. Then with massive joy I saw it, lazily wondering about, they were so interesting.

I stared at the zombie below, squaring it in my hands firming up with the urge to crush its skull, to kill it, to feel that sence of empowerment you let when you kill something... I sigh, smiling, that's the best kind of feeling. I lay down on my belly, my legs swinging.

I get a pretty big rock and flick it at the zombies head, watching In delight as it's head splatters everywhere in the alleyway. Yes, this is the urge I miss. Although not as satisfying, even though I like my time with Jay, and my acting has worked so far. I want to be free, I was to kill, I want to devour.

I hum placing my hand underneath my chin, until I'm knocked out of my trance by Roman calling my name.

I again slip back into the shop heading towards Roman. I see him holding a huge bag, assuming it's a bunch of food I look back to him.

"Y-Yes?"

"Just wanted to let you know that we are almost leaving, so if you want something get it now"

I nod looking around again, I grab some batteries, cheep looking earphones and a battery powered music box, that had pre-set song list.

I sigh walking towards the front of the store, seeing Lilly once agin not meeting my eyes. Such a shame I did like the girl. I'll have to find a way to deal with her. Another time maybe. I was living this luxurious life with Jay and I didn't want to leave just yet.

"What are you waiting for? Common Alex!"

I giggle slightly at Jays annoyed tone, skipping with them out of the store, all of us smiling and joking, like we wernt in an apocalypse, it felt like I had real friends, I don't even remember the last time I had friends. Even Lilly seems to be getting more comfortable around me.

I like this, this is nice. Just a bit more, I'll leave soon... just a bit more.
