A/N: Hey people! This is my third story! I hope you like it! Vote, Comment, Read. xx

The car pulled up in front of the airport. I hopped out of the car, clutching the pink Fossil purse that my mom had bought me last Christmas. I smiled as a flashback passed through my mind.

I crossed the street, and opened the door, my suitcase rolling behind me. Since it was Christmas day, there was a holiday hustle in the building. I passed the bag checking and claim stations, and headed towards the security section of the airport.

I was excited to come from New York to my parents' home in California. I missed them so much, being away from them. I also missed all the friends I had back at home.

I took off my shoes and put my purse in a bin for the security to check. I walked through the scanner which looked for any metal objects. When the lady said it was clear, I walked to get my suitcase and purse. Then I headed to Gate B7.

I took an empty seat near the window, so I could see when the airplane arrived. To waste time, I got out my iPhone and earbuds. The first song that played was "I'm Coming Home" By J. Cole.
"I'm coming home
I'm coming home
tell the World I'm coming home

Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits and they've forgiven my mistakes

I'm coming home, I'm coming home
tell the World I'm coming..."

I started to tap my index finger to the beat of the song.

"...Back where I belong stars in the sky
I've never felt so strong eh

feeling like there's nothing that I can't try

and if you feel me put your hands high, high, high, hey

and if you feel me put your hands high, high, hey

This is my story this is my song
if you aint got the heart, don't attempt to try this at home

it's just a poem from a man once living wrong
now I'm in the zone, tell the World I'm coming home

been a long time coming, been a long time coming

this song feel like the greatest of all time coming

cause I do it B-I-G, I remember we would be high

who'd have thought we'd be running rap when we was knee high

to appreciate the sun you gotta know what rain is

or cause I'm famous you don't gotta know what pain is

but I bounce back, would ya look at that

I take my spot at the top and I aint looking back

I'm coming home
I'm coming home
tell the World I'm coming home

Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday
I know my kingdom awaits and they've forgiven my mistakes

I'm coming home, I'm coming home
tell the World I'm coming..home"

Then, I noticed people boarding the plane. Better get ready, Esme. I knew that I was in zone 4 of the airplane, so I still had a while to wait before getting on. They first called Zone 1, followed by 2, 3, and then 4 and 5.

I gave my boarding pass to the scanner lady and I entered the plane. I walked all the way to aisle 13 and put my luggage in the overhead compartment. Planes have always given me a little anxiety, so I took a Xanax before the plane took off.

I felt a vibrating feeling in my legs, and it felt like an earthquake as the plane got ready to take off. Brace yourself.
The plane escalated slowly. After a few bumps, the plane was in the air.

I put my phone in airplane mode and played relaxing jazz music. I know, how can jazz tunes be relaxing? But somehow it just sends me into a nice, comforting slumber...

"We will be arriving in approximately 30 minutes." I woke up to the sound of the pilot.

I turned off my music and took out my headphones, as the 'no electronics' sign turned on. I quickly put the phone in my purse.

"Welcome to Los Angeles!" Was the last thing the pilot told us before we exited the plane.
